Hurricane Sandy funds diverted to unaffected areas
Almost a third of all the federal tax dollars that were sent to New Jersey for Hurricane Sandy cleanup efforts ended up in areas that were barely touched by the storm, a local newspaper investigation found.

Give us your feedback on a more resilient Jersey Shore: Rebuild by Design competition was established by President Obama, and recommended by the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force, Rebuild by Design seeks to inspire 10 teams of architects to develop innovative ways to rebuild a more resilient region.
One of the teams made of up Boston design firm, Sasaki, worldwide engineering firm, Arup, and local partner, Rutgers, is developing new ideas for creating a resilient Jersey shore.
They are seeking the feedback and input from residents of the shore, and seasonal renters and second homeowners as well.
