If FEMA is on 49th givin out food thats kool. But it not a low income only service is it.Does FEMA stand for black only service.Tell me differant we are on 143 block no anything and is you want to be fair no fema so do not send he is a racist because iam not but you are rubbing us the wrong way again and again obama uses race and most demos play the black comunity like a fine fiddle. My feeling is lets help all and lets start on 49 ave and rebuild one after another thats fair not 5 days no service or help except a clown from the building dept pulls up in a new car not american made and says we are inspection to see if you can stay here really. Now no power, food, water, heat, transpor tation.but this sticker says you cant enter my answer go f yourself this is my home not mayor bloomers or gover cuomos or oabama the clown

To the poster above ^^ first, learn how to spell. I don't know if English is your native language, but your writing is extremely hard to read. Next, Obama does not control where assistance is being distributed, Bloomberg decided that as he explained during his press conference yesterday. I agree that Bloomberg should have more sites posted, especially since many cannot get to the few sites they currently have and areas hardest hit such as Far Rockaway seem to need more help than they are currently being given.
It seems to be more of a socio-economic bias than a racial one.

We are ALL suffering on the Rockaways. Whether its 49th street or 149th street, there is still no power, no answers. All of our toilets are backing up. Shame on LIPA. Get the power back up already, it's going on a week!

This is wake up call for us to rely on Mutual Resposibility... Lets not wait for the government to help us, FEMA or Obama... We the people are that can make a difference if we unite above our differences... We all have the same basic necessaties... Lets look at each other as one family and lets try to reduce our consumption to bare minimum and see what others need.... Standing in LINE is not an answer, Looking at each other is key lets realize who is in great need. It has to be mutual! My question: is cooking for the people on the streets acceptible?

I am in CT and have been collecting things for about a week. We have two truckloads collected and plan to come to NY on Sunday. I know the Rockaways are hard hit and seem to be getting little help. I have food, personal care items, winter coats, first aid/medical supplies, cleaning supplies, work gloves, flashlights, batteries, warm clothes, blankets, infant supplies, SO much stuff that would help and I really don't know where to bring it. Can someone email me at [email protected] (I don't have a twitter) and share an address with me that may serve as a hub to distribute these things? Thank you so much.
