Horseracing is what Ky is known for. I just dont understand why lawmakers would let this industry struggle.

It's not the Industry so much as the regular citizens that struggle. You have people such as the owner of Ellis that does not give a d_ _n about anyone except himself. He has made his millions by taking advantage of the poor people. Most people think they can cure all their troubles by going to the track and wager and win money to pay the bills What they really are doing is losing the bill money to a prick like the owner. Family problems start and soon this good family is broken up because of the drinking and the more you lose the more you have to try and win it back. The owner will say he has a counseling system in place to help people break this gambling habit. Ask him how many he has sent. Take the kids to the park or join in your church events. You and your family will be happier and hopefully be in a better position to pay your bills and provide for the family you love.

I've been gambling for 16 years and every year gets worse. When I'm losing I say to myself I can get it back but never do. Wish I could just STOP!!

If all u have is bill moneyu shouldnt b at the track, u should b at ur part time job or in a classroom sumwhere learning a trade to increase ur earnings. In my opinlon if ur betting ur last few dollars to make a buck ur most likely making bad decisions elsewhere n ur life. The racetrack is not causing ur problems, ur decision making process is ur problem. And its ppl like this that the gambling opponents love to use as an example to further their cause.
