Climate science may still be on the fence, but the majority of Americans now believe global warming is making severe weather events worse in the United States, a new study shows.

The study, conducted in March by researchers from Yale and George Mason Universities, says 69 percent of Americans agree that the warming of the Earth is playing some kind of role in the weather affecting the nation. In the northeastern part of the country, 71 percent of respondents believed this to be true.

EVERY unbiased scientist on the planet said that global warming is nothing but a LIBERAL hoax perpetrated on the citizens.

It is a money-making racket for the capitalistic democRATS.

'Go Green' is bullsh*t!
'Save the Planet' is bullsh*t!

This planet has survived since God created it.
When the planet goes under, it is His deed and He will not permit any democRAT to interfere with the process.

Here's the crux of the ignorant, Tea Bagger approach to rationality.

Hey cretin, the co2 in the atmosphere is the highest it's been in the past half million years.

Oh, I forgot you think the earth is under 10000 years old. My bad.

Just because the a natural phenomenon happened prior to 1900 doesn't mean that a similar phenomenon now is not human mediated.

I know that basic bit of logic is far too subtle for your cro magnon Limbaugh mind.

The prospect of explaining "weather" from "climate," "seasonal blip" from "trend over decades," or what a "carbon sink" or "runaway feedback loop" to brownshirt constapo makes me want to vomit.

How sick you are.

97% of qualified scientists know climate change is happening, accelerating, and coming from human activity.

Solar activity does not account for the changes being seen.

The qualified scientific consensus on this approaches that of the Theory of Gravity. In an educated, less talibangelical society I could say approaches that of the Theory of Evolution...but we have too many fundie mongoloids in the US to even raise that comparison.

No, it isn't moron. You can measure the carbon in the air and compare the result to historical records. You can chart temperature increases and sea level rise since the industrial revolution. You can explore alterations to the biosphere caused by changed seasons. You can examine various carbon sinks to see how close they are to losing their carbon regulating functions.

Well, you can't. I meant people who realize the earth is more than 10000 years old and who got an education can. See, some things are "facts."

What is trickier, but is not really a matter of perception per se, is whether some other large scale change will come along to mitigate the climate change underway, such as a nuclear winter or change in radiation or heat from space, or major volcanic eruptions with ash, and so on.

Yea yea yea. We've heard all that bunk before.'Man has created globull climate change. Man is the cause.' 30 years ago the very same "scientists" were screaming "an ice age is coming, an ice age is coming, we're all going to freeze to death". 15 years ago the very same "scientists" screamed "Manhattan will be underwater by 2020. The seas will rise 20 feet.".

So explain for us all Skippy, exactly what caused the previous ice ages and warm periods of Earth. It has happened many times in Earth's history. Since you are some scientific climate savant you must have an answer. Was it excessive dinosaur farts? LMAO!

So do you think that carbon tax and then al gore will wave his manbearpig wand and make it go away? Do you really trust these scientist that have been caught forging fraud data to make all this warming crap to come about, which I might add are the same scientist that claim ice age was coming years earlier, do you really believe or are you so afraid the world will melt down and be flooded over tomorrow that you put your faith in these scientist? by the way there are thousands(thats thousands of scientist that say these scientist of yours are frauds)so really who are you, are one of those fed paid disinfo obamanites or what
I bet you believe we are over populated, funny america makes up only 1/5th of the worlds population

In the words of the late great George Carlin...If the oceans rise, will my Volvo be ok?

Fact is, since humans discovered steam power followed by gas power, our population has expanded exponentially. The best thing we can do for this planet is to use birth control.

America makes up 1/5th of the worlds population. As far as the oceans rising, al gore doesnt seem to fear, he has beach front mansions, unless he planning on flood insurance scam

America is indeed overpopulated, as is the rest of the world, but nature will take care of that eventually.

blah-blah-blah.
it's all about perception.
people either believe that climate change/global warming is real. or they don't.
as a rule, people generally believe what the TV tells them, if they watch a news station that doesn't subscribe to the theory, neither do they.
if they watch PBS, they probably do believe it.

Is there climate change? Yes. Always has been, always will be.
Is man the cause of climate change? Absolutely positively not. Can not say man is the cause of climate change when the Earth has made drastic changes many times over.

Earth will freeze, with or without man. FACT
Earth will warm, with or without man. FACT

My proof? 4.5 billion years of geological history.

That's CONJECTURE, not fact.

Just because it happened in the past doesn't mean it will happen in the future.

You damn moron. The US doesn't make up 1/5 of the world's population.

You cretins can't get the first thing correct.

Even when you fix that error you'll still be wrong. It's not the population of the US, in particular, it's the per capital fossil fuels use of the US compared to other countries' populations.

The idea that some rube like you is going to evaluate any possible, rational responses to the climate change everyone knows is happening, despite their politically motivated denials and intrinsic stupidity, is absurd.
