Well, if illegal immigrants in the lower Rio Grande Valley are afraid of being deported if they flee to safer locations, this is as good a time as any to deport them! Given that Ike is predicted to veer north sometime after landfall in Texas, it would be safer for Mexicans to flee to safer locations in their home country, anyway. Tell the Texas farm owners to do their own farm labor.

Perhaps if people were here legally then they would not be afraid to evacuate.

Unfortunately they already have, my cell phone is full of texts with those stupid jokes. My sister just moved to Houston and she is terrified, this is her 1st Hurricane and she’s not taking any chances and is evacuating tomorrow. I pray that it misses the US and I'm also praying for the people in Haiti, Cuba, & Turks

Me too. It's a scary situation. She'll be all right though. Hopefully your sis will be able to take enough water and supplies with her.

p.s. I wonder why they've never named a Hurricane after me?

It's never too late to tell all of you moron, and you know who you are, that your racist jokes at another human being is only funny until you are in that situation. To the biggest moron of you all, who is your God that you claim punishes for such a thing, we punish ourselves, you however, are overdue!
