Big is bad: Big government and big companies. The reason they are bad is because they create big bureaucracies of people who are not interested in solving the problems at hand.
BP reported problems 6 weeks before the blast to MMS.(Both big business and big government failed.)

Costner deserves credit, but his machines are still not "EPA approved".
The U.S. Coast Guard was shutting down cleanup operations because "they didn't know where the life jackets and fire extinguishers were stored".
Bureaucrats are worse than useless, they actually endanger people in emergencies. They are the natural allies of terrorists and criminals.
Finally, check this one out.
It talks about the "bigger picture"...

My God, just how stupid can we get? Talk about stepping on our own dks.

World's largest oil skimmer meets world's largest oil leak. That sounds like the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster or at least entry into the Guinness book of world records.
