I can also only welcome this, since a lot of hungarians have the feeling that there are a lot of corruption in Hungary. There are hungarian blog that are dealing with the suspectedly higher prices.
One case encountered even in the austrian election campaign, with our small dissolved, and dirty liberal party.

a special attention must be paid to a joint statement by nine embassies criticising the lack of transparency in Hungary's investment environment, while main opposition Fidesz said it represented harsh criticism of the government. According to the joint statement, foreign investors in Hungary are affected by "non-transparent behaviour" in areas of public utilities, broadcasting and transport infrastructure.

Peter Balazs met leaders of ethnic Hungarian communities in neighbouring countries for talks. Balazs gave them an outline of Hungary's foreign policy tasks and main objectives including policies towards communities of Hungarians living beyond the borders.
here we go again, magayrs poking into other countries.
i´d say, magayr parties currently in slovakia should be limited to regoinal politics only, not allowed to slovak parliament !
we have nothing, but troubles with these magayrs.

pesky,

"these magyars" are living in your country, and not because they want to live there, but because the magyar myjority territories are also splitted from Hungary.

On the other hand I hope there's a democracy in Slovakia, once a party is elected then it should go to the slovak parliament... Or?

these magayrs have not learnt slovak language yet, therefore they should be tested yearly whether they progress or not, in case caught making deals with other countries, their right to represent in slovak parliament should be taken away from them !
there are very few regions where magayrs are in majority, either you magayrs adopt to slovak laws or go race donkeys in puszta.

Wolfy, I think this is a normal conversation with pesky, he always tries an offtopic thig, what he finds in the slovak news. No problem, I have several pictures, articles for him if he makes me angry. It is not a sour, but a delicious topic the slovak corruption etc. so as you can see he did not tried to push me there :-)

This is an interesting kind of democracy what you describe there, maybe you should define how many magyars can join to the slovak universities...

aôlso, there´s no need to push you anywhere, both of us know you magayrs are much more corrupted than any of us here.

"Hungary was ranked 46th most corrupt in Transparency International's 2009 corruption perception index, slightly better than regional peers Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia. New Zealand in first place is the world's least corrupt country."

You can find this in the original article.

pesky,

maybe this is too complex for you to undestand.
The banner of the article states that we were warned by 9 countries. That is true and my personal opinion is, that it is welcome.

But if you open the article, there's the sentence, I copyed here. Believe me, I used the copy paste, you can read it by yourself.

To sum up the thing: althoug Hungary has been warned by the ambassadors of 9 country, the global corruption situation is still better than in Slovakia.
This is my interpretation of the article, you can read it also by your own.
