I really feel sorry for the Haitian people, I do. BUT, when Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, WHERE was the money, troops, and all of the other aid that our government sends to every other country in the world in a crisis? I may be out of school on this, but, why does the United States have to be the FIRST to send money, troops and aid to other counties when they are so slow and miserly to aid their own citizens? Part of the Gulf Coast has yet to be rebuilt and people are still living in other than ideal conditions. The government ought to send some of the ones that benefitted from the big bailout down to the coast and make them help clean up as part of the pay back. Of course I would never see anything like that in my lifetime.
