I have talked to someone who was driving on the streets of petit goave on a haititel phone. He told me the damage is extensive, many people died. The catholic church collapsed, Le Relais de L'empereur collapsed, Andre Nelson's House gone, the list goes on and on. I hope that helps. [email protected]

My brother owns and operates hotel Le Relais de L'emperor and we haven't been able to reach him. His name is Zachee Michel. Can anyone tell me if the owner made it out alive?

I need the phone numbers of people in Ti Goave that I can call to find out what they are saying on the streets. I'm trying to get any clue about where my brother could be.

We are looking for Family in Ti qoave also.. Are the houses still ok? I know that she was safe after the main hit, but I heard that the aftershocks were bad there, and haven't heard from her sense. Is this true.. We are looking for Sola Pascal..

Pascal, do you know if le Relais de L'Empereur was still ok after the main hit? I heard it's no longer standing, but I want to know the chance that someone may have gotten out.

No communication with Petit-Goave so far, our family was ok after the big hit. We lost all communication after the second hit which was reported at about 1:00am at 8km of Petit-Goave
according to GDACS (Global Disaster Aler and Coordination System) see report below

"Summary
On 1/13/2010 1:36:31 AM UTC an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 and depth 10km has struck an very highly populated area in the Ouest Province (population: 2.2 million) in Haiti. GDACS estimates the likelihood for need of international humanitarian intervention to be medium (Orange alert).

This earthquake can have a medium humanitarian impact since the affected region is very highly populated and has medium resilience for natural disasters.

The earthquake 8km from the city of Petit-Goave. The nearest populated places are Bambou (19km), Boucan B_lier (17km), Abricot (18km), Platon Besace (7km), Aleman (12km), Trouin (20km), Bonhomme (9km).It is a mountainous region with a maximum altitude of 2532 m."

I just email [email protected] asking for coverages on these areas, please email and request the same, maybe if they receive many requests, they will do something.

Thanks for the suggestion, I too just emailed [email protected] to request coverage to that area. I mentioned my brother's name and the name of the hotel.

Let's all continue to request aid to the area. Any push will help!
