Embassy Row: Unrest in Haiti

U.S. Ambassador Pamela White was personally exposed to the violent unrest that has swept Haiti for months when she accompanied President Michel Martelly to a coastal town to dedicate a new road financed by U.S. aid funds.
There comes a point where money just lands in the pockets of the rich without doing any good. What Haiti needs is investors, construction companies developing in Haiti, employing the people there to build housing facilities.
