Hi, can you tell me if there is a way to locate family members in Haiti?
I mean like a phone book or something?
This info is for a young man(future son in law) who lives in NJ and needs to locate his family in Haiti.

I feel for this kid. Wow! O.K., the Haitian phone book is unreliable. But, on the other hand that same phone book could be such a savior, because people with house phone tend to have the same number for years. The next best thing is for him to ask for his family on Haitian radio stations. They would broadcast their name and his name. They would contact the radio stations. Even if his family don't listen to the radio but someone else is, a friend of the family or anybody would relay the message to them. Because, in Haiti people tend to know each other.
Cheers!

I'm looking for a purchasing agent for sun-dried sea salt located in the coastal Anse Rouge area of Haiti. I want to buy in bulk to ship to Canada.
Any chance you would be available?

Im a development worker moving to Haiti/PoP early in 2008. I was there for two weeks this month, liked it very much, but couldn't get much beyond the Hotel Montana.
Id really like to be able to hear from, about and meet Haitian and other international residents living there before i come next year..i only worry that i could spend too much time by myself for many months there before getting to meet good people, get out of town some, go to parties, and the like...
thanks for any tips/suggestions as to who to meet or where to go and thngs like this,
Rand
