re balkaninsight:
"In fact, some experts believe the Muslim communities in the Balkans, whose Islamic faith developed in a European context, could serve as a bridge between the Islamic east and the Christian west. "But the allegiance of Bosnia’s Muslims to both worlds has been sorely tested recently. They feel Europe betrayed them in the 1992-1995 Bosnian war and has excluded them ever since ..." Europe may have, but NATO didn't. |

massacre of srebrenica took place in presence of dutch Un troops who did nothing to help the bosnians okay usa did help later by bombing serbia which was nothing in comparison to what its done in iraq and afghanistan and most of those scum serb soldiers are still walking around as free men living a high life. Maybe when true justice is given to the bosnians and rest of the muslim word we will prove to you that no one is as peaceful as us. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosnian_mujahide... Bosnian mujahideen From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump to: navigation, search Bosnian mujahideen[1][2] were foreign Muslim volunteers who fought on the Bosnian government side during the 1992-1995 Bosnian war. They started to arrive in Bosnia after the war crimes committed by the Serb forces on Bosnian Muslim (Bosniak) civilians. They intended to wage a jihad against the perpetrators.[3] Some of them were humanitarian workers [4](such as Abu Hamza[5], one of the leaders), and some of them were common criminals escaping the law of their native countries, but most of them were just fighters. It gave sudden and unexpected credence to the calls of violent radicals who suggested it was time for Muslims to start taking their personal security into their own hands. Terrorist links Following the end of the Bosnian War and, especially, after the 11 September attacks on the World Trade Center, the links between the Mujahideen, Al Qaeda and the radicalization of some European Muslims has become more widely discussed. In an interview with US journalist Jim Lehrer former US peace envoy to Bosnia Richard Holbrooke states: There were over 1,000 people in the country who belonged to what we then called Mujahideen freedom fighters. We now know that that was al-Qaida. I'd never heard the word before, but we knew who they were. And if you look at the 9/11 hijackers, several of those hijackers were trained or fought in Bosnia. We cleaned them out, and they had to move much further east into Afghanistan. So if it hadn't been for Dayton, we would have been fighting the terrorists deep in the ravines and caves of Central Bosnia in the heart of Europe.[36] Evan F. Kohlmann writes that Some of the most important factors behind the contemporary radicalization of European Muslim youth can be found in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where the cream of the Arab mujahideen from Afghanistan tested their battle skills in the post-Soviet era and mobilized a new generation of pan-Islamic revolutionaries.[11] |

W/all due deference to the Dutch, there were way too few of them to make a difference; in fact, their only function was to serve as "trip wires" to trigger international reaction, but they were hampered by administrative red tape that ran all the way back to the UN. I spent nearly 6 months in Tulza during SFOR VII and many of the Islamized Europeans working for us were nothing like their Middle Eastern brethren; in fact, one of our Bosnian guides sent me an apology by email after 9-11. |

And when the fighting was over and NATO peace-keepers prepared to move into the region, the Bosnian gov't was told to "uninvite" the jihadists it had formerly invited to fight w/them, and it did just that. Practical hypocrisy, but hypocrisy nonetheless. |
