Now here is a good example of one of the self-righteous bible thumping "good ole boys"(redneck) that you will find many of in Houston. Their opinion is the only one that matters and the only one that is right just because Daddy told them so and they can't see out of their privileged little bubble.

30Dec10....Most all Texans are proud of Judge Roy Bean and know about his history. More of his kind are needed around today....and NOT the kind like ' fact of the matter ' who is nothing more than a schidt-for-brains.

Ps: Those who think differently are out for a ' free lunch '.

How can a city with over 2 million people not have a massive transit rail system? Even cities like Dallas and Atlanta all have that and they also have transit oriented development all over their cities. For instance, Houston , the main laughing stock of any major American city is not only an underrated place, but it also has no amusement park as well. This is the real reason why Houston never got the olympics or no other majors events. For god sakes that city is too darn lame and country to be livable. It is a dirty , humid , no mountains, bad weather, depressing, and unattractive cities. I am so surprised that it has a lesbian for mayor.

Amusement parks, well we have a water park in houston, and we have a large schliterbaugh (sp) in Galveston. We have NFL,MLB,NBA,MLS teams in the city to keep you entertained, shopping is near, camping is near too just a few hours away... The weather does suck, but there are other reasons people live in houston. I think they are much more important...its called corporate jobs in the energy sector/oil and gas. Traffic is secondary to having food on the table, this is coming from someone who grew up in indiana.
You are lying! They took away our Astroworld! There's no good amusement parks in Houston! Schlitterbahn is in Galveston. I'm dying to move somewhere else! Houston is really plain and boring, we have no theme. Like Cali is all sunshine, beachy. New York is all city lights style. Erm, Chicago is all windy and junk. BUT HOUSTON? The 4th largest city in USA is like dead and not famous for anything.

Houston is pretty ghetto but it isn't THAT bad. I live in an apartment complex and I'm surprised that I've never had any problems with any of the people I live near and aside from some noisy black people (not being racist it's just how it is) I don't have many complaints about where I live. My neighbors are all pretty nice.

I moved here from upstate New York and honestly the job opportunities and low cost of living make it well worth living here, as long as you can find a decent area to live in.

I was born and raised in Houston. I got married and moved to a small town in Tennessee. There is no better place than Texas and no better town than Houston.
