I recently returned 2 items to garden ridge and was waited on by the store manager. I was given a gift card and the refund amount was to be for over $ 200.00 dollars. After shopping in the store for over an hour I went to check out only to find that the manager had only returned one item of the 2 to the card. When I requested to speak with him I was informed he was gone for the day. So the next day I tried calling. NOT HAPPENING. You cannot reach a store, your told when you call to email customer service. SO I went back to the store and spoke with the manager who waited on me. He informed me that a mistake had been made but he did not have the authority to correct it that I must email customer service. I did. I was notified that the return was done properly and I was owed no additional amount. When I responded that I was going to go speak with the store manager, I was notified by email that I was BANNED from garden ridge stores and that if on the property the police would be called. I was further informed to accept that email as my formal notice not to TRESPASS.

Is this the way Garden Ridge handles customer service issues?? They make it impossible for customers to get attention to complaints and when they do respond they threaten you. I tried calling their corporate office here in Houston. NOPE same thing. You do not have the option of speaking with anyone. What the hell are these people afraid of?? I mean really??

I have been there done that...Was a front end manager for several years only to be terminated by a manager who would rather hang on her cell phone or text to her friends and upon my termination she even filled out a witness statement and had another employee sign it...Same stuff different day.......Even after being terminated they kept the vacation pay that I had earned and did not miss one single day during that year....In my opinion the fire in Texas was started by either someone giving orders in management or by an employee they had done wrong as they might need the money with all the lawsuits being paid out and several multi million dollar ones being sought by the EEOC for non hiring of deaf people in Austin Texas so I hear..... Your best bet is to find another job if you work there are check else where if you need one as they require 2 weeks notice of any deaths, sicknesses or otherwise you will be terminated......I understand there are many who have been fired for BS reasons that were long term and great employees even firing people who had medical reasons and documentation from doctors.

If I could WARN people before they buy from this company I would. I worked for this comapny for a year, and that was toooo long! There is only one person who handles email complaints and that is the COO of the company, Tina Laube. By the way, she doesnt want it known-lol. Anyway I would get so many emails of her stating that customers were lying,(regarding encountered issues) and she stated that she ONLY responds to what she wants too, if she wants too. She has her hands in everything! NOT THE CEO! The corporate management SUCK! They must have never run a business before or have had any experience. Garden Ridge only wants your money. They do not back any of thier products, not even warranty defects. Furniture that people buy, split just sitting on shelves just for an example.

Dont sit in anything! Total careless about complaints from customers, and totally cares less about employees, family, etc. They even ask employees what companies were used at their former jobs just to get a clue of who they can use as well. IT'S UNBELIEVABLE. The store policies if you ever get a chance to read them or view them is obsurd! The do not follow federal guidlines--Vacation Pay that is earned isnt paid upon termination, they try and keep it. I'm filing a lawsuit for myself and all the other employees that were stolen from regardin this. There isnt any PROFESSIONALISM or ORGANIZATION at all. THIER PREVIOUS BANKRUPTCY SHOULD GIVE THEM A CLUE. The CEO should be fired along with the COO (who was fired as an employee and rehired as the COO previously) Three Cities Research out of New York ownes the business. They buy bad business and try and sell it for a profit.INFORM YOUR STATES ATTORNEY GENERAL AND FILE A COMPLAINT--THE STATE WILL IMPOSE A LAWSUIT AND FREEZE ASSETS UNTIL EVERYONE GETS WHAT IS INTITLED TO THEM PLUS INTEREST. THEN JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMAPANY--ANY OTHER BUSINESS IS BETTER THAN THIS ONE BY FAR.

Visited the local store today and made the mistake of asking if they carried a particular product. The employee spoke to my 65 year old mom and me as if we were stupid for asking. When I got home I thought I'd complain by phone. That's a joke, because you can't get through to the store on the phone. So I began looking for a way to contact them by email. After 10 minutes of scrolling through their website I found a link, buried in the middle of a FAQ page. I'm betting no one cares. And since that's there manner of business, I'm taking my business else where. I recommend you do the same. So long Garden Ridge. May you reap what you sow.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Bought 6 red Adirondack chairs and after one week each of them is chipping, paint peeling and various pieces cracking. Emailed the company (because they don't answer the phone) and, after much bantering back and forth-was told that "Per your receipt, all items must be returned in brand new unused condition. Iím sorry we canít assist you further." How do you NOT use a chair? Will never shop there again ... I suggest you find a shopping venue with more quality products! Shopper Beware of Garden Ridge.

Cincinnati, Oh. Do not buy anything from Garden Ridge Stores. I bought some pillows and returned them but the very careless store manager kept my receipts and when I realized it, as I was returning some other items, they refused to accept the return. After a very hugh lengthy argument with them, they said that they would check their system and find my original return and then the could get to the original receipts and they would call me. Well they did call but I was not home and they said to call them back, but the dumb manager did not leave his phone number and as previously reported by others, none of the stores can be reached nor can the corp. office You aqbsolutely cannot reach them by phone nor can I find the customer email complaint form on line. I am now contact my state attorney generals office and I would suggest that everyone else do the same including previous employees,it would really help. They are really crooks!.

I wanted good, quality outdoor cushions. The employee at Garden Ridge assured me thier products were fine, and if I had issues, "bring them back" within a timeframe, of course. Within 2 weeks the cushions were fading and comming apart, eeek, so I returned them to the store. WOW, now it started! The store manager (Garden Ridge Schertz Texas) told me I must "party every night" and clearly I was trying to "switch the cushion I purchased" with "super old cushions" I "found somewhere". Yes they look old and crappy, duh, thats why was returning them. Of course, Felix, the Store Manager, told me to use the Contact Us on the website, so I did. They replied to my email stating "as you know, that is not what happened", "we will not assist you any more" and to "stop contacting us"... WOW. So I contacted the vendor who supplies the cushions, they were great! Jordan Manufacturing, Jordan stand behind their products and gave me possible causes to the product failure, I relayed this information to Garden Ridge, who once again told me I was lying, they would not assist me, and Jordon Manufacturing would not assist me and to stop contacting them. WOW. So, Jordan is tracking down the numbers on my cushions to resolve the issue, Garden Ridge may have received some inferior quality products by mistake, or sold some inferior products by mistake. Garden Ridge could not care any less. I am still running down the problem here, I am still out my $300 and I still have crappy cushions. Garden Ridge is a pathetic company. I am going to document everything when this is finished and submit it to the local news "consumer reporter" guy, who knows, maybe they will get the bad press they deserve, I just hope they go out of business.

There is no doubt in my mind that the fire that burned down the Texas store was set by a current or ex employee. It is hard to imagine some one being ticked off enough to endanger the lives of others . Unless you have worked for these low life's you can't . Try to imagine dealing with day to day events such as a sick child a death in the family, only to be fired because you don't have any personal time or vacation time. Miss one day for one of those reasons and you are unemployed. Any other company would simply give you the day off with out pay. Many of the comments on these boards are about the poor customer experience . The employees are battle fatigued from having to enforce the company policies that make it so frustrating for the customers. Rarely do you experience something positive when a customer requests to speak to a manager. It's true that Tima Laube has directed the stores not expose her name during any customer complaint process. What a coward. For so long there has been something wrong with this company, nothing but turmoil and employees fearing for their jobs daily. There is only one way to resolve these issues, find another job and if you are a consumer find another place to shop.

I wouldn't shop at this store if it was the last store on Earth! Customer service terrible and went to return and won't take me returns WITH the garden ridge price sticker still on the items! Spend your cash somewhere else.

Customer service - what customer service?? This company literally is the worst! I have never experienced such horrible handling of business. I was in the process of remodeling my house. I bought four sets of Jaclyn Love curtains that appeared to be the perfect fit and color for my windows. Since my remodeling was not done immediately, I had to wait to hang the curtains. Once I was able to start hanging them, I discovered they were all defective. Most were sewn so uneven that it looked like a five year old had made them. Well, I liked the color so much I decided I could fix them myself. I re-hemmed the bottom and sides of each panel to make them work, but when it came to the last set of curtains, they were beyond repairing. The grommets were not lined up properly at the top of the panels and again extremely unevenly sewn on the sides and bottom. So, I thought, well, I will just exchange the one set of curtains for another pair. WRONG!!! They would not even allow an exchange - much less a return. I still had my reciept and the packaging. They said my receipt was "outdated". Come on people, you could tell they were still brand new and never been used. None the less, I was told to contact the corporate headquarters. So, I did. Such a joke. Never a response and I was sold defective merchandise that can not be exchanged or returned. Who does that? This will never happen to me again. I will never purchase another item from Garden Ridge and I will tell everyone and anyone I know never to shop there because they are crooks! Oh, I felt sorry for the employees who tried to help me. They too admitted that it wasn't fair but that they would lose their job if they tried to exchange this merchandise for me. How sad. I plan on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well as Attorney Generals Office and I am going to call Channel 2 to see if they have received any similar complaints. Perhaps we can get this unethical business shut down!!! Come on - who's with me? Let's rally!!!

If you want to be screwed, go ahead and shop there. If you want to be totally screwed go to work for them. Did you know that they have new owners ? Even with new owners nothing has changed. It is next to impossible to find any kind of positive postings about this company.

I was terminated yesterday due to my performance! But not even a week ago my gm told me I was doing an awesome job and she was pleased. Around the same time I advised her I was pregnant and was worried about all the lifting I was doing. She told me if I can't lift I won't have a job. The whole 3 1/2 months I worked there was hell but I busted my butt. They had no customer service whats so ever but I made it my priority to make sure every customer left there with a smile on their face!!! So I'm pretty sure they fired me due to my pregnancy!

My wife and I were at Garden Ridge Store 46 in Little Rock, AR at 9:15 tonight looking for terra cotta saucers for our plants. A young man by the name of Caleb Springs was working hard unloading seasonal goods when I wanted to know the size of the saucers. He had to get a tape measure, measure it for me. He was so pleasant and never acted irritated(which I wouldn't have blamed him if he had). He was most professional and made such an impression on my wife and me that I got his name and went to the manager there and he encouraged me to post this notice. I will certainly return to Garden Ridge because of your merchandise and Caleb's attitude.
