I personally think its a bunch of crap to now reduce the credit to pennies. Who wants to spend thousands for new windows only to receive $500. I am pissed, now. I guess this is the only way the government and state can assure people get jobs for false promises. The hell with the extension, give back the 30%.

The money has to come from somewhere, so they took it from the middleclass and gave it to the billionaires who will no doubt stimulate the economy by making improvements on their 7 to 9 houses, each.(that ought to push some buttons!)

People fall for the reabate thing all the time. Just like a mail in rebate on a computer or something. And since many businesses know there is outside money involved guess what happens to the regular price of the product-it's increased because the business knows somebody else is paying for it.
Saw signs in the box hardware stores like window prices now reduced-why were they increased in the first place.
Things got really messy in out neighborhood last year because roofers repairing storm damage began aggressively selling customers on new windows with contrived insurance claims AND you'll get a tax credit. Contrived claims including a ding in one window capping all of the sudden read windows need to be replaced. We had one of these door to door roofer offer to coach us on the insurance process. Said they knew how to word things. And you'll get a tax credit...
