I too am not a fan of acorns, living in Magalia, CA, surrounded by Black Oaks, and usually this time of year it is like the sound of machine guns firing on my roof and come spring I am pulling HUNDREDS of baby oak trees coming up in the yard. But I am curious as to why there are none.

No Acorns in Northern Ohio either! We had an extremely wet spring and summer, but i don't know.. How weird is this? I Had thousands last year, I don't think I've seen a one this year. My story is the same as everyone else's. Sounded like hail last year, needed a helmet and thick boots to walk in the lawn. I'm concerned as well...I'll look into this further..someone has to have an answer, If i find one, I'll post it!

We don't have any acorns here on Cape Cod either.
Makes it nice when you are raking!!!!!!!!
Squirrels are eating too much bird food now!!
I also have heard the more or less acorns the more or less snow.
Hope they are right and this winter is snowless here on Cape Cod.

Its alright, they'll migrate...I have too many, sure others do too...squirrels don't like you Phill, what are you doing to them?
People shouldn't use my sweet squirrels for politics because they are smarter than the average bear!

(topix attempted to flag my previous post as either offensive or profane and made me re-verify.) was my previous post somehow offensive or profane? Why on earth would I have to re-verify that? is it offensive to bovine, rednecks, or squirrels? Damn, topix has really seemed to have turned into a bunch of nansies. Bet I don't get flagged for this one.
