Homebuilding Industry Years Away From Recovery
#1 Sep 22, 2010
And yet the new home industry is still getting hit with ever changing building codes. Beginning in 2011 all new single homes will need a sprinkler system, which will add another 10 - 15 thousand dollars to costs. You don't even get to decide what you do or do not want in your own home!!

The last thing we need is for more homes to be built. There is already a surplus of over valued homes on the market. We need job growth but we need to let supply and demand dictate where the jobs are created. Building more homes just to put people to work is not a productive use of limited resources.
