I'd just like to say, it's an honor to be in such great company. There's a whole other world outside what most people see in regards to animals...Those of us who live the "rescue" life see first hand the heartbreak, despair and helpless state thousands and thousands of innocent animals live in daily. While we can not save them all, we try...we never give up, we can't afford too. For every dog or cat living n a loving home there are literally thousands being abandoned, starved, abused and neglected...But those we can save change our lives...forever making us better people and leaving a space which resonates with love and keeps us moving forward. Thank you Animal Planet for making there world see and their silent voices heard! BRAVO!

I think Shelly and all the folks that help with the stray animals and the adoptions are to wonderful for words. There is to much stupidity and ignorance when it comes to animals. People that mistreat, neglect, starve, or whatever their sick minds tell them to do to these helpless animals, that God put on this earth, should be locked up for the rest of their life and they should be given the same treatment as they gave the animal. Animals have rights to. Thank you for all you do for these animals.

Shelly, I watched your rescue show and I so admire the work you do to save those precious doggies. I just recently adopted my 2nd Yorky, Baxter, 10 yrs old, and 5 little lbs of love from the National Mill Dog Rescue, largest in the country, and the volunteers put on thousands of miles saving animals from Missouri (where Baxter came from), Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Sonny, who's about 8 yrs old I adopted 4 yrs ago from a shelter and they get along so good together, and some of their characteristics are so funny, I could watch them for hours! I know that both Sonny and Baxter will have nothing but happiness for the rest of their lives, and I'm here to be sure they love life as it should be. Keep up the good work, and please when you get a chance (I'm sure that's rare!) e-mail me with more info of your work. I donate what I can to many animal organizations, and would like to donate to yours as well. Let's all save ALL the animals! Thank you Shelly,

I have a friend that is running a rescue for Chiwawahs (Can't spell it but you know which one I mean. She ctually has no place for them and hs them blocked off in rooms in her house. Mopping the floor constantly. She is in it over her head and actualy doesn't have enough to eat for taking care of them but will always take another unwanted one. She has no luck with finding a home for them. She needs some help and wish you could find a way to help her out some. mylees@msn.com Possibly you can get some of hers adopted and I am willing to drive them myself as far as Little Rock to help you all out.
Thank you.

Shelly, what you're doing is absolutely wonderful, and yes I did need my hankie when I watched the show for the first time. unless your involved with a rescue group, you really don't see the the suffering of these animals, and with your show, this brings all the fight for better homes, right in your face, and hopefully change for the better will follow. I am however disappointed with Kyle's role, after doing the math, his taking home of 12,500.00 to 18,750.00 to transport the animals is obviously not out of a kind heart.
Despite that, I still enjoyed the show and will watch every episode. Keep up the good work!

shelly what you are doing is wonderful. im glad to see others out there that care...I NEED HELP! Any advice you can give me would be great. someone down the road from me ( we live out in the country in a small arkansas town) moved away and left a mother dog and 5 adorable black puppies. My daughter and i saw her 3 weeks ago starving on the side of the road and followed her to an empty house. we could hear her pups under the house but they didnt come out till this week. we had already planned to take in the momma dog thinkin maybe we would have to find a home for a puppie or two...BUT THERE ARE 5! We cannot afford to take them all. i already have 2 rescue dogs, 4 cats and an iguana and my mother has already taken her fill. I cant bear to take them to the pound! We go down every morning and feed and water them. I cant save the world but i CAN help 1 dog at a time...im having trouble with 6 though! ADVICE PLEASE! i recently lost my job and we are so broke! Are there people or vets that will help me?

Hey San Antonio Texas has one of the highest Euthensia numbers in the country, Strays everywhere, if you pick up a stray, animal control will not even help you by coming to get it, espically if it needs medical attention, I rescue as many as I can and find homes using Craigslist, but I cannot help as many as I would like financially, If you ever want to head this way, I would love the help. It is so sad to drive by a dog because I have no room to help anymore, and animal control has told me that I should dump them back where I found them and to stop picking up strays..That I cannot do, but some I cannot afford the care of. My Email address is lovehuntley@yahoo.com. I know you cannot help everyone but down here in the south of Texas it is horrible!!

As a long time dog rescuer on a much smaller scale, I admire the passion and hard work on behalf of all the thousands of abandoned, abused and neglected dogs out there. You are truly helping " the least" out there and are making a difference. Keep up the good work! Thanks to Animal Planet for helping raise interest and awareness on this important issue.
