Just wondering
Chillicothe, OH

There are two possible explanations. Someone sneaked in from the community and did this or it was a neighbor. Barnhart Drive is a cal-d-sac or as us old timers used to call them "a dead end road" that runs off of CR 550 near teh Pioneer School.
I hope they catch whoever did this and they are forced to reimburse the owner BUT I have to wonder how the rest of his neighbors really feel about these HUNDREDS of vehicles driving down their road every night? If it was me, I might be upset. This amount of vehicle traffic on what is probably a very quiet road would be very upsetting to many. I know of a similar situation in the Columbus area where several neighbors put up lights and accepted food donations for the local food pantrys from those that drove by. It sometimes took an hour of more just to drive down this street and there was no parking available within 5-6 blocks. The neighbors were always upset about how difficult it was for them to park at or drive to and from their homes. Maybe the owner should consider donating his remaining decorations to a nearby church that has a better located to deal with the kind of traffic nightmare his decorations cause.

I lived on Barnhart for 20 years and I never had a problem with the traffic. We knew Mike & Sandy Hall put alot of hours setting up this beautiful display for the community. Many of us put many lights and decorations up as well. The neighbors on Barnhart Dr truly cared about each other. I don't know of anyone that was upset regarding the traffic. Merry Christmas!

So you don't live there now? 2-300 cars a night didn't bother you? You must be a Saint.

The cars slowly move down the road, turn around at the end of the road and slowly drive back out. They don't blow their horns or cause a commotion. The traffic never bothered me.

I've seen the display although it was several years ago. It was really nice but it was also bumper to bumper in and out. I actually felt sorry for the other residents because of how the road was jammed up and have never been back. There was also a minor fender bender which brought the traffic to a halt while the two parties discussed it. Apparently there was no damage since they both moved on. It took 25 minutes that night.
<quoted text> Someone named Harrison Taylor, Ryan spencer, Payton north is what I heard
Actually the Gazette says there was six little punks who were involved. We may never see their names in print since they are all underage and will end up in kiddy court. Hopefully the court will take some strong action and force the parents to pay for the damages. I would say that a minimum of $1000.00 per family would be about right.

I'd say each family pays how ever much it cost mike in damages. If it cost him 20,000$ in damage than that's how much each family should pay him.
