Websters defintion of a mistake : a wrong action attributable to bad judgment or ignorance or inattention.

After reading the US Attorneys charging document, its kinda of hard to accept that Jenne's actions were a mistake. In order to claim it was a "Mistake," his actions would have had to been made on bad judgement, ignorace or inattention, all of which, according to the charging document of which he plead guilty to, suggest otherwise. He knew exactly what he was doing, when he was funnelling money from BSO vendors through 2 parties, then into his bank account. That sounds more like intentional.

Also, why wasnt Jenne Executive Assistant Alicia Valois charged with Perjury, and Conspiracy to commit fraud and tax evasion. according to the charging document, she had her paws all over the dirty money too. Not to mention lying to FDLE, when she was asked about it.

good point. where the heck is Valois? a deputy like me would have gotten fired on the spot. what a joke. but you know what? we are all happy now, we are going to put all of this behind us, and are going to start fresh with Sheriff Lamberti. It's a new start without any stress. We already see it, and the people will see it too. Thank God for LAMBERTI.

I'm available for Sheriff. Had some spare time the last few years. I'll just set my office up in my closet. I even have my own "secretary" picked out. Have a nice Day!

Great, now that the man is down everyone wants to kick him....and that has always pissed me off as if everyone on this board has never had a monument of weakness and did something wrong, myself included.

But I flat out will not kick a man when he is down.

Typical South Florida career politician who is full of lies, decent and corruption. Just got home I saw a miami police officer driving on 575 in a miami police car driving home. Of course, he was driving 80 mph in a 65 speed zone. People we have a corrupt society from the police officers to the city workers who are stealing money from us.

Former Sheriff Ken Jenne committed Muliple FELONY CRIMES, not error's in judement. He knew what he was doing. furthermone, always called the inmates of the Broward County Jail CRIMINALS. He should get years in jail as he was the Sheriff and a Former Public Corruption Prosecutor. Finally, at his sentencing hearing it should be stated that he not only commited these crimes that he once specialzed in prosecuting, but also that he had his deputies criminally prosecuted and scapegoated for following his order's. His press statement makes me sick, and the liberals feel sorry for him. his answer is always the same, HE NEVER KNEW HE DID ANYTHING WRONG..MAYBE IF HE SITS IN JAIL LONG ENOUGH, HE WILL FIGURE IT OUT...HE NEVER HAD MERCY ON ANYONE..AND HE SHOULD BE MEASURED BY THE SAME STICK HE MEASURED OTHER'S...

Everytime I'm tempted to feel sorry for him, because we all can fall to temptation (not mistakes), I think of those underlings/deputies who he rolled under the bus and then drove the bus over their careers and lives.

Between our judges, politicians and law enforcement leadership, Broward County has a huge black eye. Perhaps we will finally remember that on election day, and clean house.

Ken, you will not even be a footnote in our lives.... Your photo will no longer hang in the offices,( only your booking photo ) the Lynn Futch Audtorium will be renamed for a deputy killed in the line of duty, not your friend who had a heart attack, you will sieze to exsist in our minds and our hearts. Your life, career and everything you have done for the past 35 years will have the impact of a bug hitting a windshield, it is over and those that know you, know your ego is killing you, you can't get over the fact, you lost, no longer will anyone stand when you walk in, no longer will you have an escort to the airport, no longer will anyone call you " sir", boy mom and dad are sure proud!
