Lousy service at one Indiana Denny's Restaurant
Our family outing to the Denny's Restaurant in Shelbyville, Indiana turned into what can best be described as a disaster.

This is a joke, right? This whole article comes off as entitled. YOU took a very large party to a restaurant without calling in advance. If you HAD called, at the very least, 10 minutes prior they could have informed you of the staffing issues and your whole "problem" could have been avoided. Then after you took up table space for what you described was a considerable amount of time, right before a holiday when people are trying to make a little extra money, you complain about it being difficult to receive a discount you decided you deserved for your food taking time. As per your article, your party also finished their food before complaining and did not have any kind of issue with your servers. You also complained that gratuity was not included in your bill, which in most restaurants like Denny's, it isn't. It sounds to me like your poor planning and desire to save a few bucks were the contributing factors to your lousy experience, not anything the staff working at Denny's that day did.

We went there later that evening and the service was no better. There were 2 of us in out party, we ordered coffee and then ordered food. We waited for 15 minutes then asked for more coffee. We finished that cup (40 mins from the time we ordered our food) and still no food or refil. We went to the counted to pay for coffee and left. Over 4.00 for 2 cups of coffee.
