If you like your corruption you can keep your corruption, and you do your voting habit tells us so. You have to vote for them to find out about them (we have to pass the bill to find out what is in it). lets pass gun laws to save the state, but while I'm doing this I will buy and sell military grade weapons from Islamic radicals and communist street gangs and send them overseas so they can be used to kill and wound the innocent and our military personnel. Since I am a liberal progressive democrat it is ok nothing to see here put on your sports jerseys and go riot for your winning/losing team. And while you destroy what is this great country and this great society all in the name of fairness lets release prisoners into the ghettos and allow pedaphiles to teach our kids and allow them to hang around playgrounds cause they have feelings too? we will spend this state into an oblivious and all the while hand out freebies so the uninformed sheeple will keep us in power so we can do the job of the state, And while we are at it I will push for a minimum wage hike cause it sounds good even though I know jobs will be lost, be we got food stamps and freebies waiting. One more family to put into our dependency grip and one more who will pull the voting lever for us, your kids will graduate with a poor education but its alright we got freebies for him/her too. we will pass affirmative action rules because your child will not be able to get into college on their own, we made them stupid and by passing affirmative action we save them, they will pull the lever for us too. It goes on and on but you will never change cause you are addicted and or brainwashed.....pull the lever

Indicted Sen. Yee promises in voter guide to 'prevent corruption'
-- State Sen. Leland Yee, who was indicted recently for accepting payments for favors, promises in an official ballot guide arriving at voters' homes this week to “expose special interests, and prevent corruption.”
Don't read their lying lips watch what they do.
Steinberg sells out.
And forces his party followers to toe the line
Perez is no better

Montebello has a chance to break the chain of corruption that stretches from the Calderon family through the Gang of Three that approved the Athens giveaway and appears to be raising its ugly head in the Minasian matter.
How can councilmembers not recuse themselves from voting on a matter where they are financially and politically closely allied with the petitioner? The Calderons thought they had the right answer, too.

I've heard that Charles Calderon was soundly defeated in his race to be elected a Superior Court Judge. He had been endorsed by the Democratic Party and the L.A. Times. How they could ignore his chronic support in Sacramento of his brothers' "pay to play" games is beyond me. Thankfully the voters showed greater common sense. Maybe Southeast L.A. County is finally waking up.

With 66% voting for the other lady, and 34% voting for Calderon, one wonders what the 34% are thinking.

Ian is behind by only 688 votes in a precinct with 233,000 registered voters. Have all the absentee and problem votes been counted?

The voters seem to have finally tired of the self-dealing antics of the Calderon clan. However, re: Ian Calderon's re-election bid, expect lots of Calderon political money to enter that race near election date. Topalian's good showing may cause state Republican Party officials to put more resources into helping her.
Is Tom Calderon's son Cameron Calderon still on the L.A. County Democratic Party Central Committee? Maybe there's still some local Dem housecleaning to be done.
I wonder if the Montebello political family, the Chacons, are learning any lessons in caution from the sad example of the Calderons. According to a deposition by the former manager of Central Basin Water District (CBWD),(deposition taken in the CBWD vs. Pacifica case), Tom Calderon and Art Chacon wanted pressure placed on CBWD contractors to make certain political contributions in return for getting the contracts. This info was given to the authorities.
I wonder if there will be. any follow up, or will it be another example of selective UNprosecution
