Were supposed to feel sorry for this guy, yeah right. It's obvious that this reporter feels sorry for him. I thought reporters were supposed to be impartial? Should we all be celebrating that a rapist is now a lawyer? I guess he can use some of his tricks to defend people now. I'm sure he will make a good defense attorney.

Congratulations, Mr. Sharma.
The accuser and the prosecutors had almost ruined his life. What a tragedy it would have been if the innocent person is punished for the crimes he did not commit! He passed the Bar exam inspite of everything because he knew he is innocent and believed in Justice system.
Good Luck Mr. Sharma.
I hope you are able to defend innocent people from power hungry prosecutors.
Best wishes to you and your family.
No sympathy here

The public needs to be more educated on the facts of rape. There is much information available from leading experts on rape that show that the "power rapist will constantly deny that the sexual encounter was forcible. The power rapist desperately needs to think the women wanted and enjoyed it." Refer to International Encyclopedia of Justice Studies at

Research on rape conducted by the Ohio Department of Health shows that of the 215,000 women living in Summit county 31,000 have ever been raped. This study titled "Rape in Ohio" was published in May 2003 and can be found at
On the same webpage, refer to "A Call to Action: Ending Sexual Assault in Ohio" published in Dec, 2002. In this study, the media is challenged to educate the public about rape (see pg 27). Refer to page 4, left margin for a definition of sexual violence.
