That is very interesting because the story stated you were pregnant
with your first child and there is no mention of any injuries to the other child or the father of your baby. Some things just don't add up...

(She says, "The only part I remember is me rolling around saying I couldn't breathe." At the time, the 21-year-old was seven months pregnant with her first child.)

Exactly, she could have suffered the exact same injuries wearing her seat belt and still lost her baby. <quoted text>
Yep, she COULD have still lost the baby, but it would have greatly reduced that possibilty. We will never know now will we?

WE ARE OKLAHOMANS! We are the best people in the World, the most giving. SURE she was stupid for not wearing a seatbelt, but only get on to her when YOU have done nothing stupid yourself in your life. She lost her baby, guys. I will also look for a place to donate. I lost my job in October and am trying to scrape together money, but 2010 is going to be a better year for all of use, let's send them back home where they want to be.

Linda please know that the lol's are the few and we are the masses wishing you a safe and speedy recovery. Find a way to make your loss a positive for someone else. That way your child/grandchild will not have passed in vain. Had you named your baby/ It would be nice to have his name to say when I pray for you and your family.

I just spoke with the mom and she has set up an account at Arvest Bank under Danielle Wells Fund. You can go to any local bank to donate. Also, another update they will have to find other means of lodging by tomorrow morning. All donations are needed and greately appreciated.
If someone can put me in touch with these two ladies my husband and myself will drive them home we dont have any money to give but we do have a vehichle to take them home.

Unfortunately a child's life was lost during this tragedy. That is horrible, and I offer many prayers. But I also have a few "Doubts" concerning the story and just giving money out. Especially in today's society and everyone being in need. Would it not be just as easy to contact the mechanic her automobile is at and pay for the repairs or see if the mechanic shop would accept less? Where is the rest of the family? Aunts, uncles, grandparents, siblings? How did the father make it back to Topeka? The story did say she was pregnant with her first child and nothing about the father being in the automobile, but yet she states her and the father were taking their first trip together? She unbuckles her seat belt to put her other child back in their seat belt. How did the two stories become so different? Why not take a bus or coach flight back home and prepare for your child's funeral before worrying about the vehicle? It can wait a week or two. Only one of you need to come back for the vehicle? My child's death would be the foremost important thing. The auto would be the last thing on my mind! I believe in helping, and doing what I can but I believe maybe News 4 should have handled the donations or designated a trustee such as a "church" or official as they do in other situations such as this.

Thank You AnonymousOK, I too have had the same questions and the woman who was in the accident became annoyed it seems when questioned. The story does not add up for me.

I am able to donate a little but have to do it in person (so it will be Monday) since I have to have an account number to do it on the phone. It seems that some other people would be willing to donate money and/or time to you if you could tell us where your car is getting fixed at and if it can't be fixed soon, would you be comfortable with getting a drive back to your home town from one of these readers? Please reply back and let us know. My heart and prayers go out to you!

This is so sad there should be someone in this world with enough money to help these people not just get home but to bury this precious baby and help them recover as much as could be possible. This isn't the economy this is the whole country everybody is caught up in themselves too much to care about anybody else and when they do some kind of "charity" work it all comes down to tax's or making themselves feel better. It's no longer for the right reasons. some people have lost the ability to care, some have lost hope and all have lost compassion for there fellow man/woman unless there is something to be gained by it.
