Can you believe it is June already? Spring is dwindling down, and we have not yet enjoyed much of our normally lovely spring weather because of all the rain.

Yeah. Or, you could just leave Ohio and go somewhere nice. Believe it or not, there are parts of the country where the weather is not bipolar schizophrenic like it is here. The only thing worse than Ohio winters are Ohio springs, and the only thing worse than Ohio springs are Ohio summers. Snow and ice followed by rain, rain, lightning, floods, tornadoes and more rain, followed by tropical humidity. What's not to hate?

Sounds like Ugh needs to move out of Newark Ohio. Stop complaining about everything in your life, including the weather and do something proactive for once.

i think the paen to spring here is a tad overdone......yes June is usually a nice month in Ohio, but no question Fall is the most agreeable season hereabouts.
JMHO, feel free to agree or disagree...not trying to start a brouhaha here.

You can find bad where ever you live. Every one should live where they want to, and if they don't they should move. The only place I have found that comes close is Santa Fe, New Mexico, and I lived there for 15 years. Southern Califorina. was bad. There are a lot of people who live in places that I moved from, so they must be good to them. Ohio is a good place to live.

I hate to bum you out, John, but it's all over on June 21st. The days start shortening and Winter is coming. Time to head out to that tree stump again.

All the seasons have their beauty and charms. Ohio is one of the most beautiful places on this Earth and don't believe differently.

Thanks, John, for the beautifully written piece. I do so enjoy this area, even in winter.

We survived 4 winters in Grand Forks, North Dakota at the Air Force Base. Hell is not hot, it's cold and you can visit it in Grand Forks, ND! I live in Columbus, Ohio because I choose to live here. It's a great place to raise a family and the weather is usually not extreme.

I'm a born and raised Ohioan. And this is Ohio weather. As the saying goes, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute and it'll change." You get use to the rain, the snow, the cold, the heat and humidity (although I can do without the humidity). But there's nothing more beautiful than the changing leaves in the fall, aggravating than the snow, ice and wind in the winter and the rain and flooding in the spring, but what can be more revigorating than watching the trees bud in the spring and the vegetables grow in the summer.

John, you painted a wonderful picture of what Ohio's all about. Good job.

Pleasant comments about the Ohio weather. In todays constant turmoil, it is good to read a positive, discriptive comment. Ohio does have outstanding weather. When we moved to Ohio, I have told many people we thought we died and went to heaven. Cool evenings, little humidity during the day was enough to make me feel this is a great state with a great climate. Hope the future produces the same.
