The pagan origin of "Easter" stems from the names of an ancient pagan Goddess and God.

I always use "Resurrection Sunday" instead of Easter. This way no one gets confused as to what we celebrate.
Pagan, secular humanists, atheists, etc. always try to pervert Christianity in any way they can. Sadly, they have been pretty successful.
Of course, for born-again believers every Sunday that we meet together is Resurrection Sunday. For if Christ be not risen, we are still in our sins and most miserable.
Actually big j. Christianity has perverted itself real nicely without any one help.

No one tole the catholic church to adopt pagamn holidays for its own.. No atheist tried to force the christianity into accepting pagan motifs.. The "christmas tree", the easter bunny, ect as it own.

And secular humanist did not push christians scholars to get the date of jesus birth and death wrong.

each step was done by christian for christians.

If anything the christian church as a whole has done it all on its own with no help in adopting Pagan Holidays, symbols, or rituals.

Easter is and always has been a Pagan holiday. The Christians has stolen it from the Pagans and changed it's meaning.
