Rosh Hashana shooting case: 'Killer or human being'

“What is your opinion of me, that I'm killer or human being?”
Despite the fact that three experts concluded he was sane at the time of the Rosh Hashana shooting, Marc Benayer indicated Friday he still intends to pursue an insanity defense to prevent a first-degree murder conviction.
Benayer, 81, was found competent to stand trial and has chosen to represent himself. He is accused of shooting Jonathan Samuels twice in the back outside the Chabad Weltman synagogue west of Boca Raton two years ago.
In a conference with the judge after jurors had been sent home, Benayer said he was not only presenting an insanity defense, he's also presenting a case for a justifiable homicide defense. Read more

I really pitty the poor guy. He will die in jail . maybe treatment in a hospital is better.
