Founders' ideals were one thing, religion another - Greenwich Time

At the gym last weekend working off some of my Passover Matzo-itis, I was listening to music on the iPod but watching the Sunday morning talk shows with subtitles.

This writer mistakenly falls for the pudit's implications that "god" is Christian. Putting "god" in the motto or the pledge of allegiance does not in any way imply Christianity, as many, if not all religions have one or more "gods". In fact there are many gods without a religion attached to it.

Apollo is a god and rockets were named Apollo. Were the rockets Christian?

Make no mistake, America stands for religious freedom, but it was built on the Protestant work ethic. Most of the Founding Fathers were deeply pious, no matter how left-wing atheists and revisionist historians spin it. Christianity is deeply intertwined and central to our culture, and without a belief in God, America would not be the peaceful and tolerant nation it is today.

If you don't think America is tolerant and peaceful, then try living somewhere else. See how you like it. Until then, either stop bashing America and using it to collect a paycheck while you promote your hate propoganda.

America is a Christian nation no matter how many matzohs this writer eats. There are many more Christians than Jews, Muslims or Aetheists in America. Moreover there will be millions more with the rapid Hispanic population growth. They and the Blacks voted in their respective majorities to ban gay marriage in California. They both reflected their Judeo-Christian values. In Muslim countries they just kill them.
Meanwhile, here in the zoo we chimps don't get hung up on such matters but we pray to our keeper as long as he's the one who brings the bananas everyday.

America doesn't need any more tolerance. We've had plenty of that over the last three decades. The time has come for hardcore solutions. And it's clear the left-wing has none and seeks to divide us further by race, economic status, or gender.

The time for playing politics is over. The time for solutions is now. Otherwise this country is going down like the Titanic!

It's those kind of attacks - rather than actual ideas - that resulted in the election we had. Sarah Palin was good at that.
