Toys of the unintelligent and annoying. I have never understood firecrackers. If you want to spend your money listening to things go boom, at the very least do it out in the country or away from other people. There is a guy on my street, I live in a subdivision, who thinks its great to fire the big ones off right here. It scares my kids and pets and he seem to have no problem disturbing our peace and quiet. If I would do it without getting in trouble I'd go punch his teeth out.

Unfortunately, people like your neighbor don't care that it scares other people and creates problems. Your neighbor is one of the "me and only me" people that we see so many of these days.

Everyone has a camera phone now-a-days. If the rockets are raining down on your property or you can't sit in your own backyard without smoke and debris hitting your kids -- DOCUMENT.

May I suggest that all the firework nuts living in the suburbs. Go to the edge of your property and fire the damn things at your own house.

DOesn't bother me but is driving my bassett hound crazy. He is petrified of them. Our town has ordinance againest them except for July 4th, but you can't catch them at it. By the time police arrive, they are long gone.Very annoying. Like camera phone idea, I'll try that.

Very easy. I lay next to him, pet him, and whisper in his ear that everything is alright. The he rolls on his back to get his belly scratched. Simple. He gives kiss' and all is well.

I do the same thing, plus cover us up with a quilt. Dog is still shaking like a leaf every time the damnable things go off. I hate those things with a passion.
