Right John, keep the drivers driving with no rest until they fall asleep at the wheel. Brilliant.

They either have to stop in NJ and then deal with all the rush hour traffic to NY in the morning or come to CT to park because NY doesn't give them anywhere to stop. There are not enough spaces in the rest areas so they have no other alternative as continuing to drive when they need sleep will cause even more deaths.

It's the typical attitude of "not in my backyard". They sleep on the side of the road because there are inadequate places along the highway for the drivers to pull into and get the required by law rest. Maybe you should get behind the wheel for a week, or better yet get behind the truck drivers who deliver much needed goods and complain to the state law makers to provide more rest areas..but then again you would have nothing left to complain about.

What a foul person the writer is to use the death of a poor taxi driver for his self serving purpose. He didn't even have the respect to name this poor man who left three girls. This has to be one of the most self serving letters posted yet.
I guess the millionaires in Greenwich are outraged that poor working truck drivers may have to sleep a few hours. Doesn't everyone know that Greenwich is home to the Kings of the world ! How dare you lowly working men pass through the Kindom of the inbreds and trust fund booze hounds.
