Buyer beware.
Not only is Spooky World a tired and worn out brand name, but the people behind the production of it are of questionable and dubious character. The same group that is now constructing Spooky World also owned a production company and haunted attraction in Salem, MA and both literally vanished without notice.
There are plenty of great haunted houses out there run by honest, hardworking people who just want to have a great time - this isn't one of them.

I have worked at SpookyWorld for 14 years. From the small farm in Berlin MA to Foxboro to Bayside in Boston. The haunts and actors have always been top notch, the atmosphere of the Bayside in Boston was nowhere near as good as the farm in Berlin or even Foxboro. But at Canobie it should be fun and creepy as hell. And the guys that run the place are good guys. Otherwise I would not be working there. And let me just say as an actor at SpookyWorld that we try hard to scare everyone.

Why is "sppoky world" all over the place? I remember when it was on the news that the co owner died. That everything was up for auction because the other owner didn't want it. I remember when it closed down, then suddenly "reopened" as an indoor attraction at boston expo. It seems this name gets tossed around a lot, but the real spooky world was outdoors with 6 attractions olus a midway.

To the guy who has worked for the Spooky World group for 14 years, I have one question - how did you get in touch with them?
I know some business people who are trying to get in touch with them regarding unfulfilled obligations from last year and have found that every phone number and e-mail address is either not responsive or just disconnected.
There are also some landowners in Salem, MA who would, I'm sure like to chat with them about the months and months of unpaid backrent as well.
The people behind Spooky World remain completely unreachable and aloof.
So sorry, but the scariest thing about Spooky World remains the business ethics of those behind the scenes and owners of the brand name.
Professor Nightmare indeed - has left a trail of unpaid bills and obligations behind him that is indeed fearful!
Judge this mean if you like, but there are some small business owners out there who are very very sorry they ever got involved in the Spooky World brand in the first place.

Spooky World is a great organization run by a great group of people. I was involved in the bayside expo Spookyworld for three years and had a great time with the International Monster Museum. It's because of this experience that I was able to branch off and open Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery in Salem MA. Can't wait to see Spooky World this year. It's always so much fun!

I went to Spooky World in Berlin, MA 5 times and LOVED it. I havent gone since because Foxbourough was too far and then it went indoors totally losing the ambiance.
Now it's at Canobie, Yee Freakin Ha!
I can't wait!

As far as the owners being shady, I don't know how true that is. The word was that it was being closed because of fire code violations. Don't know if anybody was being shady.

Regardless, I'm so excited to get to go again. Hope it stays at Canobie!

We went to Spooky World/Canobie on Saturday and it totally sucked out loud!!!! Not only are the rides made for people who are smaller, but we had to wait forever in food lines, and in the lines for the haunted house, which was lame! They should cut the price if you are above 6'2", as you aren't going to fit on the rides they offer. WOW, 22.99 to go in the park and see the Ghostbuster car- BOOOOO!!!!!

Went to Spookyworld 10/17 and it was great the secret is to get there when the park opens and do the haunted houses first. Food was usual carnival food but the carmel apples were yummy!!!

Went last weekend. Less than 20 bucks was an amazing deal. It was the best haunted house experience we ever had. These were real good.

I even left early and it was more then worth it.
