Yeah I have been to Carryville and the several spots that are supposedly haunted there. I would have to say that there are paranormal activity there but I would not necessarily say it is haunted. At least not yet.

I just went to Caryville last night. Its only about 15 minutes away from me and I have heard alot about it from people but never been there myself. It is very creepy and when you get into the town something feels not right. I cant say if it is haunted but it seems likely with all I have heard about it.

The eerie feeling you get when you go through Caryville and it's area is a loss of an old abandon town. The whole Chippewa River is like that from Eau Claire down to Durand. It was bustling with activity in its prior days but the loss of the towns, people and then eventually the abandoned line of the Milwaukee Road rail road leave it desolate of any human remains. That explains the whole "creepy" feeling of the entire Dunn County area.

This is all bullcrap. People need to get educated. What a bunch of superstitious fools. The general population has got to get a grip. Are we that hungry for excitement that we need to obsess over gossip fueled by ignorance? By the way what was the wickedly scarey stuff??? It's easy to say now validate.

ive been there as well, took many pictures and all i got was orbs. some appear to be motioned. Mainly around the school house. Also have been inside the school house. Very creepy! I went with a group of people, all of which brought disposable cameras and oddly enough not one of us got those cameras devoloped and oddly enough we all lost them. If you do ever decide to go, be carefull there are cameras everywhere and the people there dont seem to take very kindly to the supernatural thrill seekers and will try to get you for traspassing and vandalism

Hey cool that you live in phoenix I live in Eau Claire WI not far from caryville WI it was a past time in my youth filled days to take trips up there with friends... one night when I was 18 we went through the cemetary to the old church and school house! we all looked up at the bell tower to see if we could see the preacher who had hung himself but that was a neg. but then we went into the school house now mind you this was a 90 degree summer night and it was at least 30 degrees in the school house. we felt a strange eeriness about it all our friend who was to scared to come with us was in the car saying come on lets go this does not feel right! we sat in the desks and looked around there was a ladel and some chalk placed on the ledge of the chalk board! the creepy part was we could see our breath and as we turned to look at it all one last time before leaving the room was empty!!! the ladel the chalk boards the desks were all gone we could not have imagined the same thing had we sat in ghost desks? we never talk of it!

When I got out of the Marine Corps in 1976 a friend of mine and I were driving down a side road off from CTH H heading toward Sand Hill. It was a beautiful summer morning at about 11:30 A.M. I had a brand new car off the showroom floor. As we drove along at about 30 MPH on the left side of the road I noticed a tree about 5-6 inches in diameter move toward the road from the left ditch. I moved to the right a few feet which put me at about the center of the road. The tree moved to my right more and more until I was down in the right ditch downshiftingand putting my foot in the throttle. The tree did not run or hop. It just glided at ground level. When we passed the tree and were down the road about 100 feet I turned to my friend and said, "Did you see that..."? I did not even get the word "tree" out of my mouth before we both exclaimed simultaneouly, "That TREE"! She was so scared she had tears running down her face. I know about Caryville and Merridean very well.
