Hey, people relax. This is a pity story to make you contribute money. That is all. Don’t get into it. Don’t breathe life into it. It’s a big bad wolf story to say it is Christmas and it’s a time to give. Now why they have to do this batter wife guilt thing is beyond me. Maybe, and by the responses, it plays. We feel for her and her children, and have other strong feelings for the husband in the story. Let it go. Contribute to the Fund despite their fable.

True if she was an abused wife my heart would go out to her and her kids I've been there and know it's not easy as everyone thinks it is to get out of he'll eat up what little self respect you have and make you so afraid to leave treatening you and yours you stay until one day you decide either kill me or let me alone (He did after several years more of torture) But this is not her case now she is no longer with him haven't been for years after him there was 2 more fathers that came and gone. I'm speaking from facts I know her and have for years. can't hide her silouette it still looks just like her. she's from Lowell been here all her life.

As a nurse you should know there is a huge difference in pay between that of an RN and an LPN. I dont konw if the article stated which but if she is an LPN trying to support 4 kids alone that would be difficult. Also, how do you know she hasn't needed help previous years? Just because the Sun's article did not directly specify her financial situation from past Christmas' does not mean she hasn't struggled. You guys are ridiculous. At least she's not collecting welfare! People are too caught up in this woman's personal issues. Or lack thereof according to some. Who cares? Sun Santa is about giving to the kids.
