Jay still needs to be hospitalized for the sake of both families. The Barron's to feel safe and the Rivas-Hernandez family for the safety and well-being of their son, brother and cousin as well as the public. Judge Mock i pray you do the right thing for all involved.

I worked for Walgreens when this happend and remember it like it happend lastweek. He should never be free. If Walgreens had done there job and asked the guy what he was doing there they could have stopped him. How can security just let him walk thru the front door without asking who he was or where his badge was. I Remember there was also a female also shot.

He was a temporary worker so he was suppose to be in the building. He had been working at the DC for a couple of days before that if I remember right. Yes, there was someone else who was shot in the foot. I don't think anyone who worked there on that day will ever forget what happened. Peace to Rudy's family

For the sake of the Barron we need to keep him there until we know if he us cured. We don't know if he is cured or he is working the system. God forbid if he is let out and he hurts or kills again who to blame? Mr. Mock do the right thing and keep him in there for all our safety.

After reading this story it does not make me as a citizen feel safe if he was to be released! Exactly to an earlier post what if he stops taking his meds, THEN WHAT?!?!?! Lots of Barron family members still in the northern california area think of their safety! He remembers only taking meth twice in his life and his own brother testifies to 20-30 times...Workin the system to me?

If Jay is released..then that proves that our actions have no consequences! What are we saying to society??? "go kill and plead insanity then with time on good behavior you will be able to restart your life!"
someones life is at steak if he's released..someone like our.. brother, father, mother, husband, child, sister.
What happens when he forgets to take his meds is the question??? What happens???? There is not one person in this world who has at one point or another forgotten to take their meds!!! What happens if Jay forgets to take his meds????

We as a family want to thank everyone for your support. My uncle Rudy was full of life. He was a survior of cancer and with a second chance at life, Jay took away a father, brother, friend, and my uncle. We will always love and remember him, "Tio Rudy" as we always knew him.

This man has no business being put back into society. I remember this incident like yesterday.I wasn't there but, have a neighbor who was. There are a lot of employee's who were traumatized by this man's craziness. Who hired these security guards? The female who was shot in the foot will never be the same. Walgreen's should have been made to compensate her for life. They are a horrible company who only cares about selling products to consumers for outrages prices. They should have had someone from there company at the hearing requesting this man never be released. Who's to say he won't go back looking to shoot at employees again. If he was declared too crazy to stand trial leave him in the crazy house..

this jerk belongs in Prison until he rots. Making excuses for their actions are not good enough this guy deserves to be put in Prison and the key thrown away. what a sorry piece of garbage he is to have taken the life of such a loving man. Judge Mock do the right thing and make this scum bag stay in the mental institution. No More Excuses.

This guys was delared 5151(Crazy!!!) prior to his purchasing a gun in 1998. Who issued Jay a guy and why was this not investigated by the DA's office. Seems more than one person should be standing trial in Yolo County.

1989 WAS A SAD AND TRAGIC ENDING YEAR,BECAUSE A MAN BY THE NAME OF JAY RIVAS HERNANDEZ HAD TO TAKE MY BROTHER RUDY'S LIFE AWAY FROM ME.MY BROTHER RUDY HAD LOTS OF PLANS AHEAD,HE HAD TOLD ME HE WAS PLANNING A VACATION DURING THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 1990,TO COME HOME TO CELEBRATE THE CHARRO DAYS FESTIVITIES IN BROWNSVILLE,TEXAS. BUT WHAT A SHOCK 2 DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS THIS TRAGEDY HAD TO HAPPEN. A MAN TOOK ALL MY BROTHERS PLANS, DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS AWAY FROM HIM. JAY RIVAS HERNANDEZ IS NOT READY TO BE RELEASE FROM THE MENTAL HOSPITAL. HE HAS TAKEN A PRECIOUS LIFE THAT HAD MANY WHO LOVED HIM AND WE WILL NEVER EVER GET HIM BACK. HE TOOK A LIFE AND THEREFORE SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN ANY RIGHTS TO GO BACK INTO A SOCIETY THAT HE CAN NOT FUNCTION IN. RATHER CONTINUE IN A MENTAL HOSPITAL WHERE HE IS BEING WATCHED AND NOT TAKING ANYMORE LIVES. SO JUDGE MOCK, I ASK YOU IN JESUS NAME AND THE BARRON FAMILY'S NAME TO HAVE MERCY IN THE PETITION THAT MY FAMILY IS ASKING.

THIS MAN WHO TOOK MY UNCLES LIFE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO RETURN TO CALIFORNIA. FOR THE FAMILY'S SAFETY, HE SHOULD BE LEFT IN PRISON FOR THE REMAINDER OF HIS LIFE. HE DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE LET OUT TO HURT MORE PEOPLE. I FEAR FOR THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY AND THEIR SECURITY IS BEING COMPROMISED OVER THE RELEASE OF A MAN WHO IS MENTALLY IMBALANCED. IT SADDENS ME TO KNOW THAT MY UNCLE HAD BEEN GUNNED DOWN AT HIS WORK PLACE WHERE HE WAS TRYING TO MAKE A LIVING. THIS MAN SHOULD REMAIN IN A FACILITY WHERE HE WILL NOT HURT ANY MORE PEOPLE AS HE HAS HURT OUR FAMILY.

Taking life is wrong and causes nothing but pain no matter why; No good will come of it. I better than most know how much pain it has caused for all families involved. However thier must be relevant consequences for doing so. I beleive that he should remain inconcerated for the rest of his life so there is no chance of this horrible act taking place again; not only for my family's sake; but for his as well as we are all hurt and changed forever because of his actions.
