Anyone who wants to be obedient to Jesus as the head of the Christian congregation, would never practice idolatry or worship to Santa or Jesus, for the Bible condemns idolatry. 1John chapter 2

Worship consists of singing songs to the idol,
burning candles to the idol, giving gifts to the idol and sacrificing your time, energy and wealth to the idol. Praying for favors and expecting favors from the idol is also worship.

RE: Pope 'has not cancelled Christmas'
..... One person's spending is part of the income of other persons.
..... Most spending per year is done at or around Christmas.
..... Anyone who would want to cancel Christmas is liable to get cancelled him/herself by all those irate shop/storekeepers and factory workers whose income has been, or soon will be, reduced. No fun expecting to get laid off because not enough people keep buying enough.
..... The good health of any economy, in any country, depends on there always is going to be sufficient spending.

LOL...Obviously the ignorant, hate filled bigots with no clue who have posted here did not read the article. It was aimed directly at the trash tabloids that you all read rather than the facts. However thank you for proving the point of the article and relish your world of ignorance and knee jerk responses to something you conjured up in your small minds based on a headline in an article you did not bother to read.

Enjoy your invincible stupidity.

You're admitting you believed it? I don't believe much of anything he says. Remember, he's the one who said that a certain amount of child porn is "normal". You agree with that too?

LOL...No sorry but rational thinking people would know that the Pope cant nor would he cancel Christmas. Read the article it quotes the distortions of what he wrote just as you distort what he said by saying child porn is normal. Shame on you!

No the Pope did not say it was normal. He said the exact opposite of what you claim. He said it was theorized. You do know what a theory is dont you? He actually spoke against it. Did you read what he actually said? NO Because if you had and understood what he said then you wouldnt be making ignorant statements like you are and bearing false witness against him. He pointed out that JP II had condemned it. He pointed out that certain people )Not all had fallen into error entertaining and idea which cast aside morality even within the Catholic church. He has said this evil must be purged from our midst. At no time has he ever said it is normal, should be considered normal, is good or that the idea should be entertained or condoned. He is acknowledging that there are those who did and are in fact promoting the idea and that it is wrong.

You want to read what he actually said go to the first link below. However you can choose to distort what he said which is often done just the article on this did. Your choice. You often say things that are clearly not Catholic teachings but if it makes you feel better to read anti-catholic tabloids and out of context statements to villify things you know nothing about then its your choice. For example you stated the church believes Mary did not need a saviour. That is false but another topic. If I knew that you really wanted to learn and not just talk trash then perhaps it might be worth some time. However time and time again you have proven you do not want any truth. Its easier to hate.

Who are some of these people the Pope was talking about?
Catholic League president Bill Donohue answered O'Connor today:

You want names? Here they are: Michel Foucault, Jacques Derrida, Louis Althusser, Jean-Paul Satre, Simone de Beauvoir, André Glucksmann, Roland Barthes. All of these French intellectuals—and there are many more—signed a petition in 1977 demanding that all the laws on sex between adults and minors be stricken. Years earlier, in the U.S., Alfred Kinsey justified pedophilia, claiming that "the current hysteria over sex offenders" was detrimental to child development. So did his colleague, Wardell Pomeroy. Moreover, many other writers and activists have expressed a tolerance for pederasty that is extremely dangerous. They include Larry Kramer, Camille Paglia, Allen Ginsberg and John Money. And, of course, NAMBLA is expressly organized to further the cause of man-boy sex. So commonplace is this perversion that some scholars use the term "BLs" to refer to "Boy Lovers."

The Holy Father was not wrong about some Catholic theological circles getting caught up in this insanity. In the 1970s—the pope was right about the decade—under the auspices of the Catholic Theological Society, Anthony Kosnick's book Human Sexuality was published. Adopted by some seminaries at the time, it sought increased tolerance for every conceivable sexual deviancy. In other words, the pope got it right.

Since Catholics believe the Church teachings over the Bible, and accept the Pope as the embodiement of Christ as the leader of the Catholic people on this Earth, he would never cancel Christmas, it is the most lucrative holiday the Catholic religion established, just for that purpose.

Reality check: The "Catholics" have beliefs that are firmly based on the Bible. There are those beliefs that are not Bible based. These come from traditions that have been passed down through the centuries yet in no way negate the Bible. I would love to see your source for the idea that Catholics "accept the pope as the embodiment of Christ". This is patently silly and untrue. The pope does lead the Church. That the secular world has taken over Christmas as a way to make money is a reality. It was never the Catholic Church's idea for this holy day to become a money maker.

Dust Storm - oh Wise One - Where did I say I believed Ratzi would cancel Christmas? You take so much literally that you should not. THINK, boy, THINK.

Please do not answer, I only wish to speak with knowledgeable people. Go play Game Boy or something. You probably still have yours.
