Animal shelter air conditioning lacking

More than a month after the new animal shelter on Evergreen Street opened its doors for homeless dogs and cats, the facility still does not have an air-conditioning system.

mismanagement....oh let me guess...cops still involved with managing the shelter. Yesterday, I heard two of the assistant acos were outside practically slugging each other. Mercado was walking away from Tubens with Tubens in "hot pursuit." I would say the heat is getting to more than just the animals over there.

Why does this come to light now. Those poor animals. All the fuss about the shelter and basically it is still a mess.
How come the state did not step up to the plate and do something about these conditions. No matter how you look at it a half a-- shelter was built. First the water problems and now the air conditioning. Just another cover up.

OMG you put up a new shelter..open it up in the summer and do not have enough money for AC. Makethe Mayor sleep in it until there is AC..I bet it gets cool in a day ! Charge him with Cruelty !

Running that city. "Budgetary issues." Gee, did they ever stop to think that maybe it might get pretty hot in the middle of summer on the Connecticut shore? And that animals can't cool off like humans? I'd rather pay my taxes to help alleviate the suffering of animals than to pay the mayor's salary, that's for dam n sure.

Why are you blamming Mayor Finch? This is Fabrizi. Fabrizi making sure, through his friends that the new mayor fails. Sour grapes. Fabrizi wanted his unveiling of the animal shelter. Mayor Finch didn't want to rub in people's faces they can't afford text books for kids. this is NOT Finch, he inherited this problem and blaming mayor finch is exactly what that idiot fabrizi wants. Remember, it is fabrizi's name on that shelter along with HIS appointed police commissioner buddies. If was Fabrizi that hired the crew to get the shelter up. It was his administration that did this. Not the current one. Get a grip .....really.

I haTe Fabrizi,too-but Finchy just hired another CRONY at over $100,000-not to mention raising OUR taxes.Screw him AND Fabrizi..........
