This will be a long off season for the Broadway Blueskirts.
Looks like one Cup in 70 seasons will be coming up.

Hi, Im a rag fan from Ronkonkyquogue, it takes me nearly 3 hours to go to msg so I stand in line with thousands of rag fans in my shoes to buy the 3 tickets for rag Isles games at the Coliseum, because that is the only game I can go to or afford on my low budget job.

Instead of watching my team blow a 4 goal lead last night I spent most of my time on an islander forum saying things like 1983 last one you'll see, and Mike Bossy sucks. I also made the guestimate that there are more rag fans than isles fans on LI, well maybe in ronkonkyquogue where all of us ex-brooklyn folk moved to in the late 90's because our neighborhoods turned into 3rd world countries.

Since my team has the highest payroll in the league and is a couple of points in contention for the playoffs, I spend most of my time going on Isles forums to make fun of the fact that the islanders suck. It makes me feel better about my team and my life, because I am so pathetic.

I'm about 200 lbs overweight, I don't understand big words, I have a flipped up collar underneath my Messier 11 jersey, my equally fat wife wears spadex underneath her graves jersey, and I smoke cigarettes and drink cheap beer. Go Rangers!

5 games and out, if that at all. Sam and Joe have carried the Gordon and Chadwick "homer" mantle ably forward.

Yesh, I and I guess Jiggs and Eddie and Howie Rose and this Billy Jaffee know-it-all are partial- Get a grip-
Try to understand that these guys are around the team more than their own families- These fly on the the team plane with the team, they become friendly with the players....naturally the announcers are going to root for the team they work for-

Tortorella should be held responsible for last nights loss against Atlanta-
It's a coaches job to implement a game plan that allows a team to hang on to a 3 goal lead and close out a game........He sucked as much as the team sucked-

Granted, 1 cup in all that time is not cool, and winning 4 in a row is not easy, but your Ice-Landers, who play at The Nausea Mauseoleum, haven't won in 26 years and the team is getting worse and worse. So I have 2 things to say to you:1983, last cup you'll ever see and Kansas City, Kansas City here they come!!

Play the game to win, not to lose.
Too late in the season for a coach change, better off missing the playoffs, regroup for next season.

If they continue to play like that my local High School team could beat them.

C'mon man - stop making excuses - last nights loss lies squarely on Valliquette's shoulders.

While the rest of the team certainly played questionably at best - they did manage to stake themselves to a 3 goal-lead with just over a minute left in the 2nd.

Then you have 3 BAD goals that let ATL tie it up: 2 from BEHIND THE NET and the 3rd on a play from BEHIND THE NET into the slot.

While Valli has certainly been a good #2 all year on the rare occasions he's been asked to take the net, last night was a MUST have 2 points for the Rangers given the opponent.

No matter how poorly the rest of the bunch played - they gave Valli a 3 goal lead with under 22 minutes to play. We need more from the backup against the league bottom-feeders if we are going to be a serious playoff team in the coming seasons.

Unacceptable.

I hope they don't make the playoffs because they are going nowhere anyway.
And blaming the coaching is the reason why Drury, Gomez, Redden, etc. get paid millions to do eff all.
They are a parody of themselves just like the Yankees.

They have the worst goaltending of all the playoff teams...

I wouldn't fear them.. goaltending wins in the playoffs

I saw the game last night and as the old saying goes, the NY Strangers " stink on ice." What's the difference if they make the playoffs they aren't going anywhere..They are better off not getting into the playoffs and saving themselves and their fans a huge embarassment.. As long as the Dolans own the Rangers and the Knicks they won't be going anywhere..nuff said.

You're an as/s Lew. They have quality goaltending and are playing well under Torterella's system. There's really no telling how far they might be able to go if in fact they make it. You sound like you're trying to convince yourself. A psychoanalyst would have a field day trying to determine why you feel so threatened by the possibility of any Ranger success. You gotta be an idiot isles fan. Years upon years of rooting for absolute ineptness and a team wallowing in abject obscurity have fogged your stupid brain.

Oh, i'm sure King Henrick would've won the game for them. This is great. Highest payroll, and they won't even make the playoffs. BEAUTIFUL!

Hmm... couldn't the same be said for the Rags? High payroll, top NHL stars, MSG location - and what do you have to show for it? You rags fans are funny... no cup is no cup - a failure no matter what team you're into.

OOOOOooooooooooo OOOoooooo ! Hey! HEY! HEY! LMAO
