I personally believe the hybrid icing is a fanstic idea because it will cut down on insuries that would have been easily avoided without too much controversy whether it would have been close to see who touched it first. I think there are numerous side effects of the smaller cage that people dont see, they are only trying to improve offense but also it could lead to more collision with goalies because the offensive players can get behind the net faster. I honestly do not know why the NHL is so intent on jacking up the amount of goals each game, if you look through history it is easily at its highest point and there is enough action to get people interested. Im afraid of how far they are willing to take this, it seems like they wont stop till each game is in double digits.
