The Taxi Squad is incredible. It really puts into perspective how banged up this team is. I can't remember any team I've followed having this many injuries!

As for the game itself, Satan needs to take those gloves off to earn five minutes. I'm not heartbroken that Comrie's hurt, and I've enjoyed watching the Comeau-Park-Okposo line. What a scare when Okposo took that shot in the foot!

Listen up Islanders....take note in what these kids have that most of you don't.....that's HEART! These kids have a tremedous amount of heart and a love for the game. They get up to play each and every game! We can't say that about half of the New York Islanders! Comrie, Satan, Guerin, Hilbert, Vasicek...you're all supposed to be teaching these kids not the other way around. I'm so pleased with what these kids have done and the opportunity the Isles higher ups are giving these kids (even due to injuries and having no choice) to prove their NHL talent! There are brighter days ahead it seems! Let's Go Bridgeport the future of the New York Islanders!!!

Re-group this offseason and come up with a real game plan to get some free-agents. I think the loss of Blake, Smith and others really hurt and was not expected.

We need to move on and look forward to 2009.

Sign Nolan long term, he has the guts an Islanders coach needs.

just so there's no confusion, i am NOT a ranger fan!, and i AM an islander fan!!, since 1972!!!! since 1983 the islanders have had 1 good season in i believe 93' when they lost 4-1 to eventual cup winner montreal, losing all 4 games in overtime! that team played with alot of talent!, but did what they did with heart!!, as again as usual they didn't have enough fire power!!, the islanders since their last cup have had good enough teams to at least make the playoffs as far as their defense and goaltending!, but no offense!! year after year it's been a problem!, and this past offseason was pathetic for this team losing the guys they lost! i am tired of hearing this team and it's excuses for 25 years!, while watching teams that couldn't do anything while the islanders were winning cups have the success they have had!, and even worse all the success of the expansion teams!!, including the defending champs, the mighty ducks?, wasn't that a stupid movie!? so while all these teams have all this success what have the islanders been doin for 25 YEARS????? on that note i'll end with this 2007-2008 playoffs all sorts of successful expansion teams playin in it!, and the islanders yellin 4!, u think there better with their clubs than their sticks!? this is disgusting!, no longer acceptable, no longer excuseable!! by the way nobody wants to play here!, accept a bunch of has beens that can no longer make it anywhere else! but they will go anywhere else, even for less money!, how u doin in colorado mr Smyth!? in this day and age of money and sports!, who would've thunk it!? can the islanders please leave, maybe we can get a winning expansion team like so many others!, to start they would porbably have a new arena!, unlike some team!, but then again i never saw a building score a goal!!, ugh, whatever!!, gotta go throw up now!!

Why doesn't Charles Wang cut ticket prices down to minor league levels if he is going to put a minor leauge team on his ice? What a ripoff! Those boys are really trying out there but they are NOT NHLers yet.

If you want to see good young talent go 30 miles west.Why would any really good free agents want to play for a team with a bad building and has not contended in years?
