All I have to say is that was one of the best games I have been to in a while. The announced croud was 16,666, and was it loud. Chico - This was a playoff game, you could see the players and how intense they were. I have to admit the game against Vancouver, the Wild, and this one against the Ducks were all losses in my book when Tony, Chico, and Section 319 were talking about what the Hawks had to do to get into the playoffs. Now cause Phoenix won tonight they don't move past them, but still they are winning the games that are on their schedule. Keep it going Hawks, and I can't wait till Friday's game.

It sure is good to see these Hawks peeking at the right time. The future looks really good. Another stud or 2 and another youngster and we are on our way.

Wow. Went to the game and just finished watching the key moments on the DVR. I'm telling you guys, the Hawks are for real. Ever since Khabby stood on his head in Calgary and then a few games later Toews returned, they've been terrific.

What's really amazing is that they've been doing it with so many different guys in the line up, which is a testament not only to how deep we are in talent these days, but also to Denny and the rest of the coaching staff. I hope we can get Bolland back and just go with these guys, including Bickel who hits. All the sudden, the Hawks are a big, rough and tough team with a perfect mix if skill players -- Kane, Toews, Sharp and, ok, I'll grudgingly include Lang.

But really we all have to give the biggest kudos to Keith, Seabrook, Wiz and Hendry. The defense has been amazing. Giving up hardly any shots. And three shutouts and just one goal in the last four game? Are you kidding me? That's the kind of stuff that not only gets you into the playoffs, it gets you deep into the playoffs.

OK, I'm a dreamer. But I felt if we could win this game, we'd make the playoffs. And by golly we did it.

Tim and section 319: Way to go guys! The game was wonderful on HDTV, but not as great as being there. I'll call this one the Cory Crawford Show. His calm demeanor, his butterfly style and the way he transitions from the butterfly to his ready position is amazing. The crowd was really behind him. What was that like Tim? Anyway, a team effort all the way. Keep the feet moving boys! GO HAWKS!!

The Hawks played a damn near if not perfect game ouside of the 7 min PP.
The Hawks now have the right mix of players that can play any style the opposition throws at them. It's a beautiful thing! I had goose bumps all night while watching on T.V.

Kudos to Ben Eager for playing a smart aggresive game and not getting suckered into the Ducks gutter with Parros. How about the kid Hjalmarsson? He's only 20 and was out there playing like a seasoned vet. Love Bickell's game too. Where's he been all year? He should've been called up earlier.
Corey Crawford! Great job! I know it's only one start but i've seen the future in goal and the future looks bright!I have to say that I haven't been this excited about a Hawk team in a long time...15 games left I figure 11 wins and there in!

GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!

Depending how the final games go, their should be consideration of the Jack Adams Award for Dennis Savard. All aspects of the game--offense,defense,goal tending--are now coming together. We're almost there, and I smell a few trips to the finals in the coming years. Way to go Coach.

Key point in the season, I think, was that LA Kings game in January when Toews was hurt. They had a lousy beginning of December and then bounced back strong at the end of the month, going into a road trip at LA and Phoenix, and a chance to really take off. Then Toews gets hurt on that cheap shot check in the corner, they get their butts kicked by the pesky Kings, and then play uninspired hockey and drop a bunch in a row. I hope they still make it, but if they don't, they seem to have jelled as a team since then, and I wouldn't expect those big swoons next year. There's a lot to be positive about.

Still good seats available for the Oilers on Sunday -- we got ours at the box office yesterday. There was a line in the cold, and only a couple of the folks were there for Bulls tickets. See you there. We'll be in 109 wearing our red jerseys.

Chico, let me tell you the place was rockin. I sit in the 300 level along with Section319 we sit where the true fans are. Nice, loud, and into it. I could not believe how loud it was and people were standing on their feet clapping the last minute and a half. Yes they did have a 7 min PP and even a 5 on 3 during that time. And they did not do anything during that time as far as scoring. What they did was keep the momentium away from the Ducks and were very physical. I could not believe the fights in the 1st period. I have never seen that many fights in one period of hockey before. It was a great game and if the Hawks keep rolling then they will make the playoffs. They are getting hot at the right time

Tim, Tony and Chico:

It is so great for the Hawks to be playing so well and to have games in March that mean so much. Last night was a great experience, the fans in attendance were loud and boisterous. The place was rockin. And now I never hurry out to the parking lot after a win. That center ice salute -- a new tradition -- the Hawks now give to the fans after each win is awesome.

But I will say that I was at least a little disappointed that we weren't much closer to a sellout last night. Here we were playing the Stanley Cup Champs in the biggest game the Hawks have played in years and there were nearly 5,000 empty seats. That surprised me. I was hoping the Hawk fans would pack he place and show everyone that the Old Man was wrong about fans staying home if games are on TV. Oh well.

I know they're sold out for Friday and a hope they get there on Sunday too.

It is good to be alive!!!

The Hawks were lucky the momentum didn't change after the 5 on 3 during that 7 minutes. They were having trouble crossing the Ducks blue line with 5 on 3 and the boo birds were out a little during that PP. I thought oh no there's the game...But as i said it was a near perfect game for the Hawks...

I agree with all the posts here. The team is truly starting to get the pieces in place for a well balanced, young and gutsy club. They are no longer a team that gets pushed around. If you have ever played or coached, you know that feeling you get in the locker room before you hit the ice and the game means so much! Pumped up, skates laced tight, stick taped, stinking to high heaven gloves on, walking to the entrance gate, hitting that beautiful clean ice and ready to go! The young Hawks are feeling that. The great crowds are pumping them up even more! The descriptions by 319 and Tim makes me want to be there so much. I may hit the road and go to Sunday's game with my kid!

Section319, are you going to Friday nights game?

United States

#19 Mar 6, 2008
Yes we can still make the playoffs. There are 15 games left, they are 4 points out of the playoffs and have to pass up 2 teams that are infront of them. They can make the playoffs, they have to continue to win these games. The great thing is that the 7th and 8th seed teams are tied at 76 points, and the Hawks have 72 points. And the majority of their games left are against Western Conference teams. After being at the game last night you can tell this team wants to make the playoffs. Tony yes the Boo birds were out during that time, mainly cause the Hawks seemed to be playing very close to the vest. They were very aggressive before that but then changed gears. However when the Ducks came after them when the PP was over they switched back to being physical. I was happy to see them contain their anger and not get caught making stupid mistakes that could have caught them.

Tim, I'll definitely be at Fridays game - with my brother and our two sons, in the first row of 319. Have to miss Sunday, but plan on being at practically everyone thereafter.

Used to be in the first row on the corner of the second balcony at the old barn. Kept season tix at the UC through '95, but then gave up when it was clear the old man didn't care, so I figured why should I. But a week after he died, and after seeing Kane and Toews play, we got our front row seats upstairs. Sit next to four great longtime fans who kept there tix through all those dark years and we're having a blast. It is great to be back. It's great to have the Hawks back. And I can't wait to once again experience the thrill and drama of Blackhawks playoff hockey. There's nothing better.
