I hope this is the year we make it out of the first round. We deserve it we have waited a long time. The only way to beat them is to keep hitting them, stay out of the box, and someone is going to have to fight Andrew Peters.(Asham)?

Agreed and I think it will be. Getting DP, Gervais and Zednik back will definately help. Look at the strength and determination we had when our team was injured and players MIA. Can't wait to see the damage we can do now!!

Go Isles!!

It's a shame that Tambellini is going to be the odd man out here. His game has improved and should make the big club next season.

Buffalo is going to be the biggest challenge

LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!!!!!!!!

What happened to Todd Simpson being signed from German League. Is he also ineligible? And whatever happened to Joel Bouchard? We could use some more depth and grit on D for playoffs.

Simpson I'd imagine has the same ineligibilty as Quint, having come from the German league, plus he was already out because the Isles were forced to honor a 12-game suspension he earned in Germany.

As for Bouchard, I've wondered it myself all year - he had some sort of knee or leg injury and was day-to-day for, well, it seems like 82 games.

Strange...

I can play. In between school, and practicum that is. Either forward or defense. D would be fine.
Thanks,

What is practicum? You play for the Latinate elite league? Too bad we don't have a Titus Pullo type guy on D.

You will only be playing four more games this year than last. Zednik or no Zednik. That's all it will take for the Islanders to get swept away. I feel bad for Ted Nolan. Then again, at least he got to be behind a semi-pro bench this year. LMAO.

It's great that the Isles are starting to get some people back, but will it be enough. When Stafford and Connolly are your fourth line guys you know you're facing a deep team poised to make a deep run into the playoffs, all the way to Lord Stanley's Cup. Containing the Sabres speed can only be done by matching their speed, and there are maybe 3 or 4 people on the Isles roster that have a chance in catching them.

Now it's great to see Ted Nolan coaching a playoff team again, but he's not going to stick around as long as he did the last time he coached a team in the playoffs (as far as advancing).
