It is obvious the Rags have a better team than the Isles. However, all you naysayers were premature in saying Okposo is a bust. That was more like wishful thinking.

He will be an excellent first/second line player.

Not a fan of either team but this kid will not be a bust... he might not be a "star", but he will be able to be a first/second liner and put up decent minutes.

The Isles are very short on talent and long on heart. He'll help even up the talent part. Good luck to Kyle.

I don't think he'll be a bust, but don't build him up too much. He's not going to single-handily save the organization.

Wow. Okposo scored one, lucky goal. Time for an Okposo night at the Mausoleum ! Right after we honor Al Arbour three or four more times. Hey Islander fans - your team will be on the golf links very soon. They are losers. They will always be losers. And by implication, you are losers. Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to comment.

Yes, based on one mediocre game I am also convinced that he is the next Wayne Gretzky.

Hey Fish Are Fried:
Your team has won ONE championship in what will soon be 68 years, and it took a team that finished with 86 points during the regular season (Vancouver) and a full seven-game series to get the job done.
You are about to finish in the same spot in the conference (sixth) as you did last year, despite spending $100 million on Scott Gomez and Chris Drury. You'll be on the golf course roughly 10 days after the Islanders.

Wasn't Getxky on the Rags. Wow, another play retired on the Rags. Enjoy Shanny. They would have a night for the last great Ranger coach, but he is dead and buried. Any come to mind anyway??? No. Mike Keenan? Haa haa bla bla bla Jagr, Bla bla bla the Garden. Save it.

With a face like Okposo has, he won't be getting too many endorsement deals- Unless Geico uses him as one of their Cavemen- Okposo makes Howie Rose look like Brad Pitt.

I am calling a press conference Monday to announce we are going to sign Okposo to a 15 year contract. I will also announce we are going to honor the Stanley cup team from the 80's on every home game next year.

I'd like to announce we're going to retire Glenn Anderson's jersey next season, in honor of all our gay fans.

To the idiot(cannot remember their posting name) that was saying how DP could have been a leader into the playoffs...and how he laughed at Fleury and Conklin could not be netminder leaders...well as an Islander fan I will say yes they can! I still have no reson why this j-off made this statement...but as an NHL fan, I can see how these two have proved themselves why they belong in the elite status!
