With the number of injuries the Islanders have been facing this season (shoulders, hamstrings, ankle sprains?) you have to wonder about the strength and conditioning of the team.I know it's a long season and it's an extremely fast and physical sport, but you've got to wonder.

Isles just can't seem to catch a break. A tear yes, but not a break.
DP is going to really have his work cut out for him.

AHHHHH SH*TTTT.

I think it's just because of the style the Isles play. Blocking 20 shots a game, out-hitting the opposition by double every night, grinding it out with 1-goal games every night.....all of this stuff certainly opens the door for injury. It'd be nice to have a few 4-1 games, win or lose, just so you dont have to play like its a game 7 every single night. This one hurts, he was picking up some major slack. Hope they carry on........

Waaa Waaaaaaaaaaa WAAAAAAAAAAAA
If they didn't stink they wouldn't have to play like it was a game 7 every night. I will be nice here.
I don't know who you have been watch but Sutten ? Geez
Them little guys have been picking it up.
I will give them credit though for hanging in there. Those last 4 could have put them pretty far out.
Watch out for Pens in the end though, they are going to be sick.

What's a pile?

Why do ranger fans still chant about denis potvin at every single home game?

How is calling someone an "icelander" supposed to be insulting?

I was thinking the same thing at first but I watched a replay of the injury and it looks like his skate blade got caught inbetween the boards and the ice.

I've been wondering the same thing for a couple of years. Icelanders sounds like the nickname for some bad ass vikings from iceland. It's definitely not insulting and the funny thing is if you ask a Ranger fan about it they can't even tell you what it means or where it's from. The Potvin thing is obvious. He beat the hell out of the Rangegirls on his way to 4 Stanley Cups. He's one of the great ones and they are bitter and jealous. Take it as a compliment to our man Potvin. I also love when they chant DP sucks. The dimwits don't even realize it makes him play better.

Its because the high % of Ranger fans are just corporate ticket hand-out fans...the season tickets are given out to anyone...because they are not Ranger fan's or even NHL fans they just hear the other 10 idiots chant and follow the chant, just like the bandwagon fans they are!

What's a pile?A second-rate afterthought loser organization that will ALWAYS be second fiddle to the Rangers. An easier way to explain this to an asslander fan is like robin to the Rangers batman.Get it now?

Iceland is a really crappy skating rink in New Hyde Park. This could be the origin of the term, however, I think it's just a rag fan spelling error.

Fruitcake? You proved my last point with that. All you rags think the same.

DP wins games for us. Queenie loses them for you guys. Nice job getting embarassed tonite against Montreal. How'd you possibly lose that, when you had such a nice start in the game???? You guys are pathetic. All the rags do is underperform. you added two premium centers in the offseason, and still sit at the number 6 slot in the conference.Losers. No wonder it took you 80+ years just to win 4 cups. LOL

Montreal has heart to come back like that! Something overpriced Rangers donot have! So they spent how many milions to blow a 5 goal lead?

Why are you guys so obsessed with the Rangers?Every post on this supposed islander site is about the Rangers.Get over it already, everyone knows without the Rangers this crappy little after thought team would have no identity at all.

But don't worry, chris simon will soon be back to save your putrid team.

perhaps it's because you (ranger fans) come on here to bash the team because you are obsessed with the islanders, hence why you chant potvin sucks at every game. Do you deny you have every ranger fans chanting potvin sucks? Then you can't deny you are obsessed with the islanders.
