Way to let them play Noel. That performance has been the best game of this rotten season.

only time will tell....with this group of players they like to play hard for a few games for a new coach than completely go back to their old ways....we'll see....have guts and play hard all the time...leadership is a must

Nice Win, The team actually played hard and had fight in them. There was also a great atomsphere last night. Too bad that the Jackets aren't in the Eastern Conference because games against Pitt,T.O,Buff,Mtl, are much more fun to watch. Their fans travel well and it makes for a fun game at the arena. It's only 2 games but I like how Claude is playing the youngsters more and showing faith in them. He has absolutely nothing to lose in playing the kids in key situations. Usually teams with new coaches respond for a few games and go back to their old ways. Let's see if they can keep up the good play.

That was a great game last night. Mason played like last season and the rest of the team did whatever was needed to pound out a victory. They seem to be having fun again. Maybe Noel is using the players to their abilities, letting them play as more of a free-wheeling group of youngsters who are having fun and are more talented than Hitch allowed them to be.
On a side note, I happened to be at a local eatery after the game and Mason, Umberger, Urcina and Roy were there as well, enjoying a post game meal with friends. They were relaxed and in a good mood. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come from the entire team.
Noel may just be the best "candidate" the Jackets can find, and he was right here under their nose the whole time.

Columbus fans take note..... You have your coach for the futrue, you will be amazed at what Claude can do. I predict a Stanley Cup in Columbus in 2 years.
