You got your wish! What happened to MacDonald? Or will this be a tight-lipped injury report like the Islander's have done with DP all season long!

Who gives a ****??
I'm a Yankee fan, do you think I give a damn about the Yankees having 26 WS titles, which will never be broken??
dude, I could care less... I just want them to win another.
Thats the problem with you Islander fans, you hold on to the past like a crutch.. its borderline pathetic.
No one cared then, you think anyone cares now?
This is an ice hockey article, so no baseball.... ice hockey only, lol!

it wasnt 80% lets get real...50/50 and thats sad as an islanders fan, but hey the ranger$ arent wining the cup this season or getting close to it and the islanders have a great chance at getting the first overall pick. Its miserable but what else is new. Also I was too young but why would trottier ever say billy carroll was the most important player on those cup teams. I could see him saying tonelli, Smith, Goring, but why carroll?

Hail the greatest team of all time. Would kick the 94 NYR butt.
Am I supposed to be impressed? You would have looked at me like a deer in the headlights if I asked you in 1982.

Funny...the rags squeak by an ahl team again and of course now 'they weren't trying'. Whatever gets you through the season
As usual it's a no win situation with ignorant Islander fans. If the Isles win they pound their chest because they beat the mighty Rangers, if they lose the Rangers should be embarrassed that they played and DEFEATED an "AHL" caliber team.

It really sucks to be an Islander fan....we get it.

If it was 50/50 then all Islander fans are mute..

I was watching on TV and you could hear the Ranger fans loud and clear..

ranger fans can thank the incompetent duo of wang and snow for 3 additional home games this season. if isles are'nt tanking it, they should be ashamed.

I knew it then& I know it now Clarke Gillies kicked Ed Hospodar's butt, in every fight. Just like the Isles did in the playoffs 81-84. Accept for maybe 84, when NYR should have won, but still did not beat the greatest team of all time.
Oh by the way know it all, what number was Peter Wallin?

If you were too young and know nothing about it..shut the F up-
Read the October 2008 article in the islander illustrated and you'll find out why Billy Carroll was so valuable-

Why? Was Peter Wallin an integral part of 4 consecutive Stanley Cup Champions?

Was he a major member of a team that won 19 consecutive NHL playoff rounds?

Even if I did pretend to know that Wallin played 52 games in 2 different seasons for the Rangers in 190 & 1982, it's not the same as me not knowing who Stefan Matteau was, or Ed Olcyk, Or Craig MacTavish.

You Islander fans don't get it.

The Islanders were as irrelevant when they were winning cups as they are now that they'll NEVER do so ever again.
