Sure lets rush Bailey into the lineup so he can reinjure whatever, that's a smart move. On a positive note, Comrie will miss a game , that's a 50% reduction in blind passes in the offensive zone.

Unless this kid absolutely dazzles, he should play his nine games and go back to Juniors. This is a case where I'm not nuts about the agreement to make players under 20 either play in the NHL or juniors and not be allowed in the minor leagues. The agreement is designed to keep organizations from depleting the Junior ranks which is big business in Canada. They're trying to avoid the same problems US colleges have with players leaving after a year or two. The truth is, Baily's skill level at the moment would probably call for a year or so at Briddgeport, but it's not allowed. You don't want to ruin this kid, so unless he's really, really ready, he's better off in Juniors

Will he be playing on the 4th line?

If Comrie can't go Baily would probably take his spot unless Gordon completley reshuffles.

Oh boy another moronic move. I guess they figure, they are paying this kid already so might as well throw him to the wolves. The only thisng Wong cares about is the salary. He's a real tool.
Update on the Charles "Uncle Charlie" Wang ransom to all NY State tax payers with special importance to nassau county:
Here are his demands
1.) get him Housing.
2.) he needs a Shopping Mall
3.) and a Nightlife Center
4.) don't forget his Lighthouse
5.) and New Arena
6.) You will pay for all of it.
7.) Lowest payroll in NHL
8.) 3rd highest ticket prices in NHL.
9.) 28 year old rookies (makes nhl minimum)
10.) Goalie gets first start in NHL
in 4 years.(makes nhl minimum)
11.) Last place
12.) Sanjay is in jail.
13.) TV controlled by the Rangers.
14.) Radio is on a college station that you can't get in 1.2 of LI, nevermind NY.
15.) More time, money, and effort spent teaching Chinese kids to play hockey then actually working on the team.
16.) Trade top prospects for Smyth and never request a 24 hour window to sign Smyth. Watch Smyth leave at end of year. Fools.
17.) Hire backup goalie as GM so you don't have to pay him his player contract.
18.) Never fire Mike Milbury, he resigned in shame.
19.) Pass this junk off as professional.
20.) Bring back as many ex Isles greats as possible and give them a night since it is the only way to fill the building.
21.) 20 million under the cap....a complete violation of NHL law.
22.) Bring up injured kids so he doesn't have to add to the payroll. Slimeball.
23.) No debate, either all the above are met or he leaves.

As long as Comrie is out a game I am happy. When is that loser going to be a healthy scratch? If he has a hip injury that is preventing him from playing well, then he's been bothered by it for 2 seasons now.

wow the isles are dumb, bailey is not even close to NHL reasy, he should be playing junor hockey for the Windsor Spitfires right now, a lot of islander fans are saying give him on the job training, that does not work when you can not perform and get injured all the time, only NHL rookies worthy of a spot in the league are stamkos and schenn

Two bad penalties today....that's all Bailey gave the Islanders- The second penalty left the Islanders shorthanded for just about the final two minutes of a game where they need a tying goal...instead, they're shorthanded and left with no time to tie the game-
Gordon blew it again by having this kid out there at such a critical point in the game- I would have given him one shift per period just to get his feet wet-

Really Doug? Same post as on Friday? Really? It wasn't funny or witty then, nor is it now. Dipstick.
Hang in there gang - its gonna be a long season, but if we keep the guys in the farm system - things will turn.

Looks like the Islander's are playing for next year's 1st round draft pick! But wait, Garth will trade down for 5 additionally picks.
One highly disappointed fan year after year!
Time to make a movie of this franchise.... Islander's Adrift the ongoing Chronic Coliseum Crisis
