Newsday did not even bother to send a reporter to cover the game. I thought Newsday and Cablevision were going to expand their cover of the Islanders. Cablevision has not even mentioned the Isles or bothered to show a preseason game.

why waste precious resources on a team going nowhere fast?

If that's the case, why won't the Dolan's let SNY take them? They obviously don't care if the Isles are on TV or not, but some of us fans do.

problem is there's not enough of you. The fans need to fill the Coliseum and show support, regardless of how bad the team may be.

The Dolans now own cablevision, newsday, the garden including all teams that play there. I don't see how it is not a conflict of interest to have the owners of 1 team, Rangers, be responsible for televising, or covering the rival teams, Isles, Devils. How can the Isles and Devils get a fair shake in this market. It's obvious the Dolans are going to be biased and only promote what is good for his own team. Why would he want to promote the teams that he is trying to compete with. Like I said, I don't understand how this is allowed to happen by the NHL or basic business laws in the first place. It's like McDonalds being in charge of promoting Burger King.

Or like when Cablevision would run ads telling how bad it would be to put a Jets stadium over the West side yard but wouldn't allow the jets to run ads about why it would be good to have a stadium in the city?
