Update on the Charles "Uncle Charlie" Wang ransom to all NY State tax payers with special importance to nassau county:

1.) Housing.
2.) Shopping Mall
3.) Nightlife Center
4.) Lighthouse
5.) New Arena
6.) You pay for all of it.
7.) Lowest payroll in NHL
8.) 3rd highest ticket prices in NHL.
9.) 28 year old rookies (makes nhl minimum)
10.) Goalie gets first start in NHL
in 4 years.(makes nhl minimum)
11.) Last place
12.) Sanjay is in jail.
13.) TV controlled by the Rangers.
14.) Radio is on a college station that you can't get in 1.2 of LI, nevermind NY.
15.) More time, money, and effort spent teaching Chinese kids to play hockey then actually working on the team.
16.) Trade top prospects for Smyth and never request a 24 hour window to sign Smyth. Watch Smyth leave at end of year. Fools.
17.) Hire backup goalie as GM so you don't have to pay him his player contract.
18.) Never fire Mike Milbury, he resigned in shame.
19.) Pass this junk off as professional.
20.) Bring back as many ex Isles greats as possible and give them a night since it is the only way to fill the builing.
21.) Spend more time making alternate jerseys then building talent on the ice.

Jay from Hawaii...you must be a friend of Islanders President, Chris Dey. Next time Chris is back in Hawaii running his Long Island based hockey team from the beach, why not tell him in person to get some players instead of hinting it through this message board-

Silly, Comrie, Weight all gone by trade deadline. If you think this year is bad - wait till next year when we have Bridgeport Isles playing at the Coliseum. What free agent in their right mind would sign with us. We have no solid youths as of now. Numerous coaching changes. Philiosophy chages. Your great white hope Okposo has been ok but he is still 18-19 and no where near a franchise player. He will be ok but we need phenomenal and that he is not. I think Peca said it best - 10 years of top 10 picks and other than Dipi not a single player to show for it. No direction and total disconnect for this franchise. I just dont see this team surviving the isles without a new building. Forgot the Lighthouse project. Start small with a new coliseum/training faciltiy and redo the Marriot as well if you feel you need to. See where we go from there. With the Isles struggling you will never get the Lighhouse off the ground. If they were winning and buzzing this would gain more momentum.

What;s with all the whining about a new building etc. I haven't been to the coliseum in 14 years but I had seson tickets for 13 years and went many many times before that. I don't know about the reest of you but I went to watch a game not to gawk at tteh ambience or sit in some luxurious seat and have butler service or have my feet massaged. I used the toilets to take a whiz and once in a blue moon bought a $oda if I caould afford it.that's what I went to the games for I didn't need anything else. Hell, it beats bleachers

Its the prima-donna mind-set of the typical spoiled rotten Long Island fan. Then after a new building is done they will whine about the cost of a ticket.
Basically whining is built into their psychee. Instead of supporting the new direction of the team, which will take time to become successful, all they do is whine. Then when the team becomes successful they will all jump on the bandwagon & act like they were great fans all along. Pretty sickening. I know there are some real Islander fans out there & this is not directed at you. It just gets ridiculously boring hearing the same crybabies saying the same garbage. This team will be successful as long as they stick to their plan. You can already see flashes of things to come. Patience, patience, patience.

LETS GO ISLANDERS!!!

Wolfie nicely put, however most isles fans realize we r the laughing stock of this league and most loyal backers do moan and whine a lot as we lose games, r patience goes and in my case my hair as well. Now the hated fagangers just seem to bring in these top rate free agents because of for the most part their desrie play at the sports meeca (da garden). Not that it has helped them lately, never the less it would be nice to sign a player like a weight or guerin in their prime not in a rocker one of these freaking years.

The Islanders can only stop the meltdown by getting new players, a new coach, a new equipment manager and a new zamboni driver! Otherwise, it will be the same stuff the entire year. Ooooh we only lost by two goals, big improvement. I'm happy because we had fun and no one got hurt, etc. What a bunch of last-place sissies! Last place now, last place forever.

What exactly is the plan? Stop playing in the third period. Yeah, they are sticking to the plan all right. You might be seeing flashes, but that has nothing to do with the hockey game.

I understand the frustration your feeling but this new direction is going to take some time. They have been playing great in the 1st 2 periods the last handful of games. They have to learn to play the same way in the 3rd. And you have to remember we will be getting some injured players back soon so this will help tremendously.
As far as the Blueskirts go.... you can't woory about what free agents they get. There already starting to crumble even without significant injuries. Doesn't matter whos on that team....you still need heart. They don't have any. Spineless bunch which emulates the fanbase perfectly.
