McAmmond was Islanders fan as a kid

Full story: Newsday

There's a pretty good chance Dean McAmmond 's Islanders career might not last beyond the end of this season.

Snow is working hard, trying to do the right thing here on Long Island.I hope they give him some more time. This team will be a playoff team in two years and a cup contender after that.I hope Charles Wang lets him complete the job he's started.

McAmmond didn't seem so terribly thrilled to be an Islander when they interviewed him during the game the other night... but I hope it's true that he might want to stay. He seems like a character guy that could be a good role model for the young guys (unlike Mike Duff).

Incidentally, I haven't been to LI in years and therefore haven't seen an Isles HOME game in years but I'm heading there tomorrow and will be at the game on Thursday night... definitely happy about that.

Is the old barn holding together or should I wear some of my own equipment just to sit in the stands?

Ahh... it'll just be nostalgic for me... remembering going to dynasty games with my dad. But I'm sure it'll be a bit sad to see what's become of the place.

He's way better than Comrie and that makes this trade look better and better for the Isles. Many thought Comrie and McAmmond were a wash but far from it, IMO.

Hey Rob: Parking only $7.00 at Nassau Coliseum. The place is a time warp. You will think it's 1972 when you see the place.Hasn't changed a it,just dirtier. The seats in the 300 sections are the originals.(except the top rows).Long lines are common at the men's room and the food lines.(actually the people working there are slow as shit). There are also cats running around the parking lot after the games,so you know what that means.

So, there are no other NHL players who grew up liking the Isles? It should not be that hard to get some quality people here!

Hot Dang!Same seats in the 300 sections? God bless whoever got my old seats 4 rows directly behind Jiggs and Eddie. I farted in my seat for 14 years I'm sure that whenever someone sits in it the odor stills wafts out of the Cushion.

I'm always amused when I get so far under some loser's skin that he decides he has to make an attempt to insult me every time I post. You're pathetic. Was that last year or two years ago that I embarrassed you and made you look so pathetic? You're still pathetic... and you're still changing you "name" every week or two... so you can pathetically hide behind different names and pretend you're not the same guy. You're a coward. I really do feel sorry for you... but that's okay... keep trying to annoy me. It's pretty funny in that cute pathetic way of yours... kind of like a retarded puppy trying to attack a lion who's kind enough to swat it gently.

Hey Rob, don't let that retard from Ronkonkoma get to you, he's only frustrated to be living there, as Ronkonkoma is the scrotum of LI, also he has eyrectumitis, which means: his optic nerve is connected to his a-hole and it gives him a shi/t/ty outlook on life!

Wow. Five straight posts in response. You should talk to someone about those insecurities of yours. They're a bit too blatant.

As to your link above... Comrie had a goal in his debut in his second stint with Ottawa... I guess that means his production is behind his Islander career to the same point (far behind). They should brace themselves for the drop-off. It's nasty.

The other story you posted... did you actually read the story or did you even need help reading the headline? If you had read it you might have realized that it doesn't support the point you seem to be trying to make.

Please... if you're that stupid just be quiet and stop embarrassing yourself. You really are pathetic.

Son... you couldn't push my buttons with a 16lb sledge hammer... though I'm betting you'd have trouble just picking one up anyway.

You lack substance and your attempts at insult are puerile. What is entertaining is that attempting to push someone's buttons over the internet seems to be the pinnacle of your pathetic existence and yet you're still so bad at it.

Montreal Gazette has an article comparing us with the Pittsburgh team that tanked the end of their season, saying we are doing the same thing to get John Taveras in the draft. I find this insulting.
