I do not like the tone of some of the posts I have been reading. Some postees are saying that MacLean is gay or bi-sexual. Whether this is true or not should not impact his effectiveness as a coach. He is an NHL veteran and should be respected for what he has done.

MacLean has the experience we need. He has prepared the wings for battle against us for years and look how that went. He knows how to beat the CBJ so I am going to assume he knows the pieces we are missing too. While sentimentally I'd love to see Kevin Dineen come back I think for us to win quickly MacLean is the right choice.

If for nothing else, he gets my vote because he sounds like he is genuinely excited about getting the job! Now if we can just get the Dispatch sports staff off the Dineen bandwagon, MacLean might have a future as coach of the Jackets!

But can he motivate that "I Quit Nash" and the rest of those quitters on said team??????????
Remember, Nash told the world on public radio ( 97.1 the fan) that he and the boys "quit on the season" while playing for the previous coach. Who is to say that Nash and the boys wont quit again??? Can any coach really motivate Nash and the boys to give 110% effort for all 60 minutes a game and for 82 games???
The lack of effort from the captain this past season leaves a lot of doubts in all of us fan's minds, and more so in the minds of people who are NOT said fans of hockey or the Jackets. You die hards need to think about this before you go blowing off at your pie hole!
And is Nash not part of the bigger issue of effort and quitting??????? I believe he is a huge part of why these guys quit this past season.

Seems to me an off the cuff stupid remark that has no basis for being retold even in comments.....
